( Old-School Sensuality )

While public displays of affection may not have been entirely taboo in all cultures in the past, there's a certain air of stuffiness that have always peppered Western days gone by and their views on sexuality. Literature of the Regency and Victorian periods are exercises in hidden, torrid attraction and more than healthy amounts of repression

The power of suggestion can, when applied expertly, be much more poignant than what's overt. When the imagination is allowed to fill in the blanks, actions or images that could be innocent in another context may seem much more salacious. And even with the risque, like a sexy lingerie set, what's appealing isn't the skin showing, it's what's hidden.

The art of "leaving something to the imagination" may be dying, some say, so let's put it into practice. Stolen glances, heated touches, pinnings against walls, pining, brushing bodies, deep kissing, faces pressed in necks, and tension. Tension, tension, tension. Remember, sensuality, not sexuality, though the interaction between you could get heated when all of the senses are involved.

  • ( comment. feel free to bring out your period or fantasy characters/AU your characters into a historical setting...because this is really just an excuse to play out costume-porn-Brontë-approved near-smut. in contrast idek, your modern character could be really proper or reserved, in a forbidden relationship - i'm not here to judge! )
