ANGST MEME



Sometimes we all want to play some angst and see just how far our characters will fall.

1. just depressed.
Things are tough, you're feeling worn out, or whatever the case, you're depressed. You need help or someone else thinks you do anyway.

2. abandoned.
You were left behind by everyone you hold dear and now you're forced to see how well they've adjusted, how happy they all are while you're screaming inside.

3. sick.
Cold, flu, or something even worse, all you can do is lay back and let someone take care of you.

4. fight.
You've been fighting nonstop with the other person and it just keep escalating.

5. break up.
You're being broken up with and they won't reconsider... Damn.

6. separated.
For some reason, you've been separated from the other person for a long time.

7. kidnapped.
You've been held captive for how long now? Maybe they've been torturing you even, using your blood to write ransom notes, threatening to cut off fingers to send next, etc. Rescue is on the way though, right?

8. beaten up.
Just because someone didn't like you or maybe they wanted something you had, whatever the case is, you're coming home sporting some nasty wounds and bruises.

9. jealousy.
You just have this undeniable jealousy suddenly and you need to let it out.

10. cheated on.
This goes beyond just suspicion and you have full on proof of what your lover has done. How do you handle it?

11. apathetic.
You're not sad, you're not happy, you just... don't feel much anymore. The sparkle of life has gone right out of you and you're just going through the motions now.

12. addicted.
Drugs, alcohol, whatever your drug of choice is, you can't fight the draw and you can't draw yourself out of the hole, but the other person is going to try.

13. bad romance.
You know this isn't good for either of you, but you can't stop now.

14. fear.
Nightmares, the feeling someone is following you, etc. You can't shake the feeling.

15. insanity.
You're seeing things and hearing them, waking up only to realize you've done things you don't remember or you're in a place you weren't before. You're losing it and you don't know what to do.

16. guilt.
It's eating you up inside and you have to tell someone about it now. You want to be punished and you won't take no for an answer.

17. loss
You've lost something dear to you.

18. wild card.
Combine some options or make your own!

[ She relaxes a bit, relieved that she hadn't said anything to offend her. ]

Yeah, I guess that's true. I think it's...tough sometimes, though. Trying to figure out what you want or need. Sometimes you don't always really know.

A lot of the time you don't know. And sometimes you think you want one thing, then find you want another ... and then maybe you go back to the first thing again.

[Eva's expression mulls into something extremely wistful.]

I don't think you ever find complete fulfillment in your life though. What you wanted, what you ended up with -- you always sort of end up yearning for whatever you didn't have in the end. So when you look back on it all, maybe the best you can hope for is to be content with the journey you had.

[... Okay, gosh, this poor woman. Eva blinks a time or two, realizes she sort of started philosophizing here.]

[neverbreaks]

[ Luisa doesn't seem to mind, and actually takes the time to consider Eva's words. Then after a moment she nods. ]

...Yeah. I think I can understand that.

[ It actually does make a lot of sense to her, given everything. Even if she couldn't say she'd been completely happy back home, she could at least say she was content.

Content enough to at least want to go back home. ]

[Eva's smile brightens again.]

Good. Sorry, I don't mean to philosophize so much. I guess that's what happens when you talk to your plants too often, haha.

[She's just making a light joke here.]

[ Luisa makes a soft sound that isn't quite a laugh, but leans a bit that way. ]

That's okay. Back home, when I was...when I'm doing chores in town, I talk to the donkeys sometimes.

[The donkeys. Eva looks intrigued now.]

Oh yeah? They pretty friendly? I'll be honest, I've been around horses but not donkeys.

[neverbreaks]

Yeah, mostly. They can be a bit stubborn sometimes, but I spend a lot of time with them, so they're pretty comfortable around me.

[takingchances]

That's a pretty nice gift to have. Animals being comfortable around you, I mean.

[neverbreaks]

[ Luisa shakes her head a little. ] I wouldn’t say that really. Like I said, it’s just because I spend a lot of time with them.

My cousin, though…animals really love him.

[ But then, so did all the people. ]

Just spending a lot of time around animals won't necessarily make them like you though. It's sort of the same way it is with people.

[She pauses there and then laughs a little.]

Not that animals are as complicated as people can be but... well, you get the idea.

[Eva decides to venture a little, just curious really.]

How old is your cousin?

[neverbreaks]

[ Luisa smiles, but it is a bit faint as she nods. ] Yeah. The donkeys are easier to talk to sometimes.

[ She hesitates a moment as she thinks about the question. Giving his age couldn't reveal too much about him, could it? ]

...He just turned five recently.

[takingchances]

Ah, he's right around my nephew's age then. I guess they really are talkative at that age.

[And she says that with a good deal of fondness in her tone. She likes Jaime, he's a good kid.]

[ She laughs a little. ] My cousin is actually pretty shy around people. He’s only that talkative around animals.
