4. Quest for the Artifact: You're out here looking for some kind of magical item. Ring? Chalice? Rat tail? Whatever. It's just important that you find it, for reasons.
   
   
5. CLERIC! Someone's hurt! Is there a cleric in the house?! A potion? Anything?
   
   
6. The Tavern: It's time to eat, drink, and be merry! Or time to occupy the shadowy table in the corner. Or fight over who has dibs to the shadowy table in the corner.
   
   
7. Quest Board: You've run into someone at the town's Big Board o' Odd Fantasy Jobs to do! Take up something together, maybe? Or just commentate on the jobs on offer?
   
   
8. Werewolf! There, wolf! looks like you're getting a monster encounter whether you wanted one or not.
   
   
9. Your pentagram was crooked: Either a demon was summoned, or it WASN'T summoned and something else turned up instead. Whether it was your fault or not, you've gotta deal with it.
   
   
10. Having a ball: Kick up your heels, maybe kick them off. Adventure time is over, now it's time to get FANCY.

Percy is having the worst day, but then again every day in the past two years has been the worst day ever, He hadn't meant to get lost, but he'd been tracking a knoll clan and then their footprints had faded into the grass.

Then by the time he'd realized it he'd been lost himself and he cursed quickly as he tried to orient himself enough to find the path back. "Well wonderful," he muttered darkly, "what else can go wrong today?"

marginally. would be even harder if the walls weren't so porous, but. they'll do.

When she hears the sound of someone else's footsteps, though, her sword is instantly in her hand. She was scouting here alone! Or she thought she was. If she's lucky, it's just that her brother changed his mind about doing this solo...]

[By Exodus's reckoning, it's been at least 300 years since an ordinary human last dared to climb up Wundagore Mountain, let alone sneak into its citadel and through guile and force infiltrate all the way into an audience with him, the citadel's reclusive master. Though if any human could pull off such a feat, he supposes, it would be the captain of the Winter Hawks, a mercenary band that is now apparently reduced to just one man.]

So the wizard Blackheart transformed all of your men into stone statues... yes, that would be his way of punishing an affront. And of course you cannot reach his home on your own, which explains why you so recklessly invaded mine. Wundagore may not be easily accessed, but at least it is still anchored to the good Earth, eh?

[He waves one hand dismissively, indicating the two guards on either side of their guest leave them. Both of them are already bruised and banged up from their first encounter with this man. Galaar could have killed him then if he wanted; that he didn't was a gesture of courtesy. He'll repay that courtesy in kind.]

Now then. Yes, it is within my power to get you into the Air Castle. But tell me, Galaar of the Winter Hawks, why should I do this thing? Even if Blackheart and I have long been enemies, we have reached détente. He and his creatures keep to his territory and leave us of Wundagore to ours. Why should I risk reopening hostilities between us after all these years?
