It's a bit of Japanese folklore that true lovers are connected to each other via a red string that represents destiny. But what comes first, the love or the string? What if they came at the same time? This meme is one part love at first sight and one part soulmate meme. You'll find yourself connected to something by a red string tied around your pinkie that you just can't get off. Well, may as well see what- or who- is on the other end! When you do see who it is, no matter who it may be, you'll fill a sudden and intense rush of love for them - whatever love means to you. You'll want to kiss them, hold them, protect them, and be with them forever. Who cares if you've never met before or aren't even from the same world? But every rose has its thorns. The blue thread had just snapped into being, but being curious enough to give lessons to a cat, she'd followed it. Especially after trying to cut it with scissors had failed (they'd just passed straight through in the same way the string passed through the wall). She had, however, had enough presence of mind to be carrying a pocketful of Batgirl-toys because this was probably a trap.

And leading her into the park was possibly worse. Although it became obvious why when she saw who the other end of the string was attached to. "If it isn't my favourite eco-terrorist." Barbara's tone was dry as she cursed not coming as Batgirl - not that even with a full utility belt going into Ivy's inner sanctum would have been safe. "I suppose you had something to do with this string?"

Nathan woke up that winter morning with a red string around his wrist and the great urge to fly. It was almost like the snow was dancing and beckoning. "Come play with us Nathan, come be a kid again."

( mmhm, this qas strange. Here he was, minding his own business, literally. Like .. how much more minding your own business can you get if you're sleeping? Something woke him up, a pulling at his finger. Waking up, stark blinked a couple of times, still trying to wake up because there are some days where he's an early bird and some days that he's not. This wasn't today, sknce he had a slight hangover.

Tugging at the string, he mumbled something incoherant that sounded like crazy racoons, barton and badgers. He really doesn't know what the hell he drank last night but damn he must have had a great time. Okay, receiving a tug back. Two can play at this game. After a battle of tugging, tony hauled his sorry ass out of bed, reluctantly but shit. This was getting annoying. Dragging himself with every pull to the red string he grasped, it lead him to one of the bedrooms. With one annoyed sigh, tony warned-)

Okay, whoevers idea this is of a joke, it's too early for me. Also, if you could remind me what happened last night, that'd be doing me a favor because for some reason I keep thinking of raccoons and it's confusing.
