love letters + shipping texts meme

  • comment with your character.
  • other people will reply to you.
  • your characters (in a relationship, in love, in some sort of attraction that gravitates around the other, in idk 'love' is a many-splendored thing) are commanicating via: passionate confessions written on parchment, furtive notes scrawled in code, passive-aggressive post-it notes, messages carved in trees, smoke signals, instant messages on space age computers, text messages complete with lovey-dovey pictures, whatever!
  • have fun!

[Hythlodaeus will find a (not so) passive-aggressive post-it note (or the Ancient equivalent of one) there on his desk at the Bureau of the Architect. The handwritten script should be one of familiarity, provided any lingering aetherial residue does not make the sender immediately obvious from a distance.]

Come see me in my office. I have questions.

[That's all it says. One could perhaps forgive him for being too busy with Convocation work to compose a proper sonnet detailing his feelings for Hythlodaeus, but all evidence would otherwise suggest that this message is strictly business-related.]

[ hythlodaeus does, indeed, see the note before he sees the note, for, as his dear friend, hades' aetheric signature is one he knows intimately well, and he cannot help but wonder why he left a note rather than simply waiting for hythlodaeus to arrive - but alas, patience has never been emet-selch's strongest suit. he always has something to do with himself, after all, even if that something is napping.

but he is hard at work today, it would seem, if he had not even the time to wait about hythlodaeus' office for him to return.

he, of course, has no reason to think that this note could be anything but business related, and so when hythlodaeus arrives at hades' place of work - barging into his office with the courtesy of only a single knock, naturally - he waves the strip of parchment with a smile. ]

You called, O esteemed Emet-Selch?

[Well, at least he had the courtesy to knock at all. As it happens, the Third Seat has prior company...after a sort. There, perched on the edge of his desk is a medium-sized, yet very intimidating bird, unmoving and unblinking with what appears to be a perpetual frown set across its inscrutable face.]

[And behind the desk is Emet-Selch, who appears equally sour, but who looks up nevertheless when Hythlodaeus enters with a sigh of impatience as he gestures one-handed at his other visitor.]

And which one of you is responsible for this...thing?

["Which one". There exist only two likely suspects who could be responsible for letting this concept into his office and one of them is currently who-knows-where.]
