so human beings will swim in the ocean even though there's most definitely corpses in it, innumerable corpses, but if there's one corpse in a pool, they won't swim in it, so that means there is a corpse to water ratio that humans are okay swimming in

I may have put a fake corpse in a pool once before but today I haven't done anything involving corpses or pools.

Can I pay to have the smallest lake in the US dragged for bodies?

I'd start with just research lakes that have been known to have bodies in them?

Because people also have to KNOW that there are bodies in the lake and they're still swimming in it

Presumably any lake that we KNOW there were bodies in, they have now taken the bodies out. And I could see someone thinking "I'm good to swim in this lake, no murderer would dump a body in a lake the police have searched before, who would use a known dump spot?"

Maybe the best way would be to compare how many people swam in lakes before, during, and after they were dredged for bodies?

I don't think anyone has those statistics and I don't know if I care enough to bother gathering them myself. Can I change my answer to being bothered I couldn't put a corpse in a pool?

They definitely track people visiting those places and we could look up when bodies were found

Probably because I didn't propose a realistic fake one. I mean I don't think they'd go for that other but just now the reaction was definitely "this is a lovely day at the pool, you can't go make a corpse"
