[OOC: Mikoto is from a magic sci-fi setting and has electricity powers - she's one of the most powerful people in the setting and goes to a school for developing and training powers. We can do this in a way where they're from like, separate worldlines/timelines and Inaba's side doesn't have powers, magic cellphone/mental communication that comes across like texting, or we can just say she's a normal person in Mikoto's setting? Works either way.]

Lan Wangji does not know what had happened. They'd gone on a night hunt a day or so before, and both had been hit by something. Both of them had done their best to get cleaned up and for the most part everything seemed in order. Even when they'd fallen into bed together everything had been fine. Even if he wanted to get a hold of his brother about what had happened.

When five in the morning does come around, he doesn't wake up. It was like his body had no inclination to whatsoever. He might have opened his eyes a little, but ultimately sleep dragged him back under. Like there was a bone tiredness to him. If he had truly woken at five in the morning and paid attention then he'd have realized that things were not as they seemed.

In fact, the body that would normally wake at five in the morning laid beside his own, until it didn't.

[Frisk is staring at their hands, which are way, way too pale.]

No. But it's something I, um, think 'bout a lot. [Worrying about having their SOUL stolen and fused with a monster, mostly. They didn't think of a human person. Human-ish person? Frisk reaches up to feel their new face, as if that'll be helpful in showing maybe-human traits.]

Wei Wuxian is very confused. It's too early in the morning for him to be this awake. Not only that, he can't feel any of his usual aches and pains which typically result from night hunting. Wounds that have never fully healed, that sort of thing. In fact, he feels energized. Like he could take on the world!

Puzzled, he sits up in bed and immediately gawks at his own sleeping form. If that's Wei Ying still slumbering peacefully in bed, then what -

It takes a few minutes to process the fact that he's in Lan Wangji's body. At first, he thinks it's some sort of side effect from whatever they were hit with last night. Perhaps a curse?

Regardless, he knows his lover's routine and if he doesn't hurry, the juniors will start to wonder where their beloved light-bearer is. That's why he's currently in the process of hurriedly getting dressed. He's undressed Lan Zhan so many times that it's an easy process to mimic. It's the head ribbon that ends up a bit crooked as he leans over the other body and pokes his face.

"Lan Zhan...?"

There's just this feeling when it comes to his body, pains that he didn't even know his body had. That his body shouldn't have had. Not when his golden core healed all of his wounds. The only time it hadn't was... well, probably some time when he was younger. His body just felt completely and totally off. Of course, there's suddenly a finger poking at him and he reaches out grabbing that finger. That grab, however, lacks strength.

Eyes open and stare into... golden. Why would he? Wait, no. He was staring at his own body. Why would he be staring at himself? "Wei Ying?" There's clear confusion in his voice. What in the world was going on? They'd gone to bed just fine the night before, in their own bodies.

He does, however, note what the other is wearing and he forces himself to get up, despite the fact that the body he was in didn't want to. Once up he reaches out and fixes the hanfu that his husband is wearing, then reaches up to fix the forehead ribbon. "How is Wei Ying going to handle the day?"
