Got a secret

A Gen or Shipping Meme
You have a secret that you've been keeping from those closest to you. It could be a terrible power, a dark past, an illness, a hidden life. You know that to tell the truth about yourself is to risk absolutely everything. Not only would they (rightfully) question the very idea of staying with you - it isn't safe, it isn't sane - but you've kept it from them so long. How could they possibly trust you again?
But at the same time... this secret is eating you up inside. You love them, all of them. Every perfection and every flaw. All you've ever wanted is for someone to care for you completely in that same way, and maybe, just maybe... you can have that with them.
So, do you have what it takes to be vulnerable? Can you find the courage to be true to yourself, and to the people you love?
How to Play
1. Top level with a brief description of your character and what their secret might be.
2. Don't forget your preferences! (gen or shipping, etc)
3. Tag around!

alternatively, perhaps she met someone who didn't know who she was/her history and she kept her involvement with the First Order a secret. or the whole "heir to Vader, potentially unlimited power, etc etc" thing she has going on.
would love gen stuff with Han/Leia/Luke and dealing with all the stuff she never told anyone about (or felt that she could talk to any of them about). overall good with gen or shipping for this. wide open on canon; also open to cross canon, AUs, timeline fuckery (if we can make it work); prior/established CR always welcome.
note: her talking about Snoke and/or her darkside training will likely involve mentions of or allusions to grooming and mental/physical abuse (she sure wasn't wearing padded armor to protect against blaster shots or blades); if there's something off-limits for you please let me know ahead of time so I can avoid it or steer the interaction a different direction. ]

I was thinking either some magic shit caused Loki to loose his Asgardian glamor or they found some more tapes of the Winter Soldier killing innocent people.]

Either Wanda telling him what happened in the town for angst on her side, OR they're practicing something and her magic strips away his Asgardian glamor for angst on his side. Or something else if you have any ideas!]

Feel free to switch to prose if that's what you prefer!
Two mages work around the circle, trying to power but also contain the arcane energies within. This is just a test run, a proof of concept, and one that is quickly showing it's flaws.
It's hard to tell exactly who lost concentration or if it was the both of them, but the dome containing the energies cracks, then shatters. A wave of red energy radiates out, throwing both of them back and shaking the trees around them. It isn't as much damage as it could have been, but they were working on a very small scale compared to what would be needed in the end.
Loki groans, aches blooming all along his back from where he'd hit a tree. He opens his eyes, squinting against the bright sun.]
Wanda?
no subject
[Quite the understatement for the blast, but it's nowhere near catastrophic. Wanda, for all this new power, does know it's best to always err on the side of caution. Still, she's a heap on the ground where she'd been tossed, grass stains on her clothes and bits of it in her red hair.]
I'll take the blame for that one. Are you--
[She looks over to where Loki ended up, and the words leave her.]
Uh.
[Maybe she wasn't as careful as she thought. Wanda sits up slowly, keeping her eyes on him.]
Loki?
no subject
Please tell me I didn't grow another head.
[He raises a hand to shield his eyes from the intensity of the sun. Rather than the familiar pale peach he is use to, he sees dark blue.
Newly red eyes widen.]
Shit. [He throws an arm in front of his face, as if that will stop Wanda from seeing what she's already clearly noticed. Frantically he tries to gather his magic to his hand, to his face, something to put the familiar mask back in place.
It doesn't work.]
Damn it, come on!
no subject
[She'd panic and think she did this to him, somehow, but given how his panic is manifesting, she's beginning to think it's more like she uncovered something she should not have.]
You're, uh. Looking kind of blue.
no subject
I know! That's the problem!
[He looks around for a place to hide, eyes darting from bush to tree like a cornered animal. Nothing in their immediate area seems like it would be able to provide suitable coverage for the six foot god, so he shoots to his feet and starts power walking back to the cabin.]
no subject
Loki. Hey. You mind explaining to me what just happened?
no subject
My glamor! The spell must have stripped it away. [Said as if Wanda has any idea that he had a glamor on in the first place.] But I can't recast it, it isn't sticking!
no subject
[Well, she didn't know that. Wanda huffs as she hurries to keep up, and try to get in front of him.]
Look. It's just me here. [And she's... mildly alarmed, but doing her best not to let it show on her face. She knows what that can do.] If my magic broke it, maybe it can fix it, too.
no subject
The glamor is one I apparently adopted as an infant when Odin found me in Jotunheim. The only time it went away...it always just came back on it's own a second later.
no subject
First, I think we need to calm down. [We? Him.] Thank you for the backstory, there. I didn't know.
[Does it change anything? She doesn't think so.]
Secondly, I'm sure we can figure out something together. Maybe it's not coming back right away because you're so worked up.
[She tips her head to the side.]
... I'm not running away screaming, if you haven't noticed. I'm--surprised. I think that's reasonable.
no subject
She isn't running.]
You would be, [He swallows, and though his left hand starts picking at his right palm, he remains otherwise unmoving.] if you knew what a Jotun was.
no subject
[Wanda waves over one of the wooden kitchen chairs and sits on it. Well? She's waiting.]
no subject
He doesn't take the seat, but stays where he is (further away from her), his hands continuing their fidgeting.]
They're...they're monsters! They threatened your world millennia ago, nearly destroyed it with eternal winter. Even the youngest Asgardian child knows the terror of the barbaric, cruel Frost Giants!
no subject
... and? Are you planning on an eternal winter, barbaric actions, cruel intentions...?
no subject
[He frowns, pulling the scar-like designs on his face in a strange way.]
It's just...you didn't grow up with it. You don't understand.
no subject
[If she's being honest.]
no subject
And maybe she never will. It's not like Jotuns were the monsters under her bed in every bedtime story the nanny told.]
Fine. Just...try not to make direct skin contact with me when I'm like this.
no subject
Will I get frostbite?
no subject
At best. A Frost Giant's touch is just as dangerous, if not more so, than their blade.
no subject
[Wanda regards him curiously.]
So, we just need to get your glamor back. I've never cast one before.
[Sort of. Kind of. Westview and that altered reality probably counts, because what really is a glamor but an altering of reality?]
no subject
[He sighs and pulls the chair closer to him. He doesn't want to risk sitting too close to her.]
Perhaps recreating the explosion...
no subject
[If it comes back. But Wanda's trying to remain optimistic.]
no subject
Yes, that makes sense. I have a few texts...
['A few' turns out to be three very heavy tomes. Two in some kind of runic language that's probably Asgardian and another in some kind of flowy elvish script.]
These cover the basics of illusion and glamors.
