[ Sorry for the wait! All done with traveling and whatnot. Let me know if this works at all! I think I am combining 2-3-4 or 2/4 ]

( Sometimes Hades doesn't know why he bothers hanging out alone in public spaces. Maybe he really is getting lonely in his old age. But he favors the harder liquor at this particular establishment and figures a visit can't hurt once in a while. He'd get his fill of the stuff and slip away unnoticed, no problems, no strings attached. That was the plan, anyway.

How it more or less turns out is that he enjoys his alcohol but perhaps draws a little bit more attention than he'd hoped. It's either his reputation preceding him or the fact that he's a large blue divine man. It's fine.

By the tail end of the evening, he's decided it's probably not in the cards, and finishes up his last swig of drink before standing and holding his suit jacket over a shoulder so he can make his way out. Distracted by racing thoughts (as usual) though, he doesn't notice that he's definitely about to collide with a fair elven woman. He'd noticed her before, but felt like too much of a nerd to say anything, really. Besides, nymphs and other gods are trouble enough, what would an elf be like?

Time to re-evaluate that question then as he knocks into her, the crowd pushing the two of them to a definitely more-than-strangers level of closeness. He looks sheepish, clearing his throat a bit. Whether she's carrying anything or has dropped or spilled it isn't his concern, he's more worried that he's hurt her or ruined her entire evening by putting her in this position. }

I'm ... so sorry. Let me help you. This is my fault.

[It's okay! Life happens!]

{ Rostriel didn't often frequent bars such as these... But there were times when she felt the draw to. And this was one of those times. She spent most of the night keeping to herself, sipping on the local wine and watching the crowd.

She had caught sight of a man, tall and blue, glancing at her every now and then. Elves weren't common in this area, she knew that. She'd already been stared at and whispered at. But Rostriel didn't let that bother her. There had been business to be done here and she had gotten it done. And now, now she could relax.

Did she want to engage in that? Nothing and Galan were waiting for her back home, but she also hadn't given a timeline when she would return. If either of her sons were worried, they would no doubt send word.

Rostriel had decided to leave, to not engage with anyone. But fate apparently had different ideas. The crowd surged when she and the man were trying to leave and they crashed into one another. }

It is alright. The crowds are tight this evening.

( Apparently it's a night for the unusual for both of them then. Still doesn't excuse his not paying attention and allowing the two of them to collide. He's only thankful she wasn't holding something breakable or didn't seem to get hurt in any way. )

Yes... fine time to get up and leave.

( He rolls his eyes a little, though he's clearly chastising his own choices and not hers.

That being done, he offers her his hands more properly now. His lips tilt into a casual grin. )

Were you on your way out? I'm pretty good at clearing a crowd.

I was. And you must be. People parting for you.

{ She flushed lightly at the offer of hands before taking them. Often Rostriel didn't have a need to flirt. But this stranger was different than most. She didn't mind it in the least.

Rostriel reached up and moved her hair back over her shoulder so it laid down her back. She noted that the ends of her hair were the same color as the man's. Odd to see. It wasn't often that she saw such a similar shade. But it was comforting in a way. }

I'm Rostriel.

( He answers somewhat sheepishly, though if she's not privy to said reputation he's really not going to complain. With her hands in his he turns to more properly get them some space through the crowd.

Sure enough, most of who had already bumped into him scurried off. But the ones who lingered nearby were probably getting a little uncomfortable from God of the Dead's imposing aura. They have enough space to get going now at least, though he finds her hands are warm and her presence nice ... he won't be disappointed if they held on to one another a little bit longer. ]

Ah, Hades. Pleased to meet you. I've not seen you around here before.

{ He felt colder than she was used to, but it didn't bother Rostriel. But she fell quiet at his question. }

I travel. I do not often stay in the same place for long.

{ She had been traveling for so long, over a hundred years now. Running from the pain of her husband's death, the anger and trauma that came with it. The rage that had consumed her as she killed the raiders that took her husband from her.

But part of her was tired of always traveling. Maybe she could stay for a bit here. }

A pleasure Hades.

( The coldness she felt would be no surprise to him really, though he tries to make up for it with his personality. ... Usually. )

Must be nice.

( He doesn't travel often himself, which just makes it extra rare he decided to stop here for the evening (and without either or both of his brothers). The Fates are having some fun with him it seems. But as he suggested, the crowd does seem to shuffle away from them more now that he stands tall and makes to move them toward the exit.

I don't hear that one very often.

It... It gets lonely sometimes. I have Cassiopeia, but how much company can a dragon really be?

{ Rostriel let their hands stay linked as they left the bar. Once outside, she took a breath, relaxing. While she did like going to bars, having drinks, being around people... She felt so much better when she was in the fresh air.

She glanced at the man next to her, smiling softly. He seemed... He seemed sad in a way. A lonely way almost. }

Sometimes people aren't always... Nice.

Dragon? I couldn't say. I've got dogs. Too many of them.

[ He chuckles sheepishly, finding he likes the warmth of her hand in his. Maybe he's had too much to drink again? Or he really is lonelier than usual. Sad.

Though he breathes out in amusement at her last comment. ]

No, they aren't. But I can't particularly blame them. I don't have a friendly line of work.

[ He pauses, glancing down the road and then back to her. ]

Um, well I know you were leaving but perhaps you'd like to spend a little more time together?

[ Normally Rostriel would have said no. But... There was something about this man that made her not want to decline. But she was quiet for a moment before nodding and giving him a faint smile. ]

I wouldn't mind that at all. You've been good company Hades.

[ She looked up towards the sky and took a breath before looking to Hades once more. Rostriel patted his arm, smiling faintly at him. ]

Do you stay close by?

You're already getting a habit of saying things nobody else would ever say, you know that?

[ He chuckles a little, though there's perhaps a faint darker flush on his cheeks too. It's ... nice to hear good things about yourself. Like people would actually want to spend time with you and not just for a favor or something. ]

I live quite far, actually. But it doesn't take long to get there.

[ As if that makes sense. But he shakes his head after a moment, not sure he wants to drag his new companion to the underworld just yet. ]

We could find some quiet place, where nobody knows the either of us. If you'd indulge me.

[Rostriel couldn't help but laugh at that. This strange man seemed so out of sorts at her compliments, when she was doing nothing but speaking the truth. Hades was good company, better than she'd spent with in the past. But taverns and dungeons... Not always the best for meeting people.

She brushed her hair out of her eyes and glanced over at him.

A smile tugged at her lips before she nodded.]

I would like that.

[ Taverns and dungeons is about how it's been for Hades too. Definitely not a good place to meet people, especially if you happen to be the warden of that dungeon, so to speak.

He smiles as she agrees and gives a nod. ]

Ah, good then. Let's try this way.

[ He sweeps a hand onward in some direction. He doesn't know his way around as well as he used to, but he's sure it isn't completely terrible. ]

[ Rostriel laughed and nodded. She turned and started in the direction that Hades had motioned to. She glanced over her shoulder and smiled at him. She didn't beckon him to follow, but knew that he would. ]

Yes, lets go this way.

[ She tossed her hair over her shoulder, the ends a bright white that stood out against the dark of the night and the darker colored clothing she was wearing as well. Some thought she magicked her hair liked that, but after she lost her husband, the trauma caused it.

It was something that she couldn't really explain. ]

[ He asks as they walk amicably. He did indeed follow her as she began to walk, though he feels a bit sheepish now that they're following through with his suggestion. Hopefully he doesn't make a fool of himself. ]
