[Paul bites his tongue. In normal circumstances he certainly wouldn't be above using a powerful artifact as part of a political maneuver or to bolster his own power. In which case he would be one of the worst people to approach like this. The temptation would be very real.

But he's made several promises to himself regarding the Nexus. No politics is one. He's here to get away from that and intends to keep anything to to with war or the like strictly on his side of the portal. No cross-contaminating his universe with things found here. They have enough homegrown problems without the Nexus adding to them. He respects and honors the Nexus as a neutral territory for all, where the lion and gazelle can drink together in peace.

Paul takes these three rules very seriously. And that means he could be trusted to watch over the stranger's artifact.]
