Now, you've finally come back together and fortune's smiling as if it may be just like old times. But that can never really be, can it? That familiar innocence is replaced with something much more adult. Will your relationship change with the times and the new urges, or will you both cling to the past? What if only one wants to take that next step while the other wants to keep memories pure? OR It's always been one-sided, right from the start. As kids, one of you followed the other around like a puppy over the moon. The other wasn't cruel to the person crushing on them, yet they didn't see them in that way. Maybe their admirer was kind of an ugly duckling or a late bloomer. Maybe they were just the kind of kid who wasn't interested in icky, gross romance. All that's in the past, because after a long separation, you two have met back up and, man, has the late bloomer finally bloomed! They're exactly the type their once-object of affection would go for. Surely this is a dream come true and now they can get the returned feelings they've always wanted! ...right? There can't be any way there'd be a sore spot here. [The Nomu were quite dangerous. Creating a bunch that could rival the top heroes helped to inspire others to do the same. One such person tried to lure in the quirk less to create what he called the Demi-Fiend. Seemed to have a lot of volunteers, yet Naoki stood as one of the only true successes. Unlike the Nomus, his mentality was intact. Well, if he didn't give into his rage, and there was plenty of it after all the pain. The experiments felt like he was being tortured for years, driven to the peak of insanity.

In reality, it was just two months.

The heroes trained under Aizawa had managed to get him under control, though the unknown gentlemen fled the scene. Every time Naoki thought of that chuckle, the smug smile as his torturer escaped, the rage would come back. And it was always so easy. Why bother calming down when he was turned into a monster? Why do anything else when his past life was gone, and he scared away his remaining friends?

UA seemed to step in give such an answer. It took time, lots of tests and paperwork, but they ultimately decided to help out. Him staying in a cell or lab would likely just make things worse without proper aid. Being a hero was something he wanted. Just didn't think or wanted it to end up like this. He felt more like a liability, like if even the slightest stray emotion would make him explode; almost literally too. By the time he was in class A with the same team that beat him, he kept his distance. Until he had full control, he couldn't risk hurting people. Every time someone tried to talk to him, he'd just create some distance, sometimes even trying to leave the classroom altogether. The young man could never trust himself again.

And then Mina kept prodding him. Day after day, she would be the one to try to talk and get him to open up. There were others who tried too, but Mina was the easiest to talk to. Before Naoki knew it, he started to crack a smile and open up. He could be himself, be nerdy and not even be angry when teased about certain things. Even back then, while he had some friends, they felt too distant, nothing like what he had with his new classmates.

Which made his sudden realization he liked Mina all the more shocking. It was just teasing beforehand, her making him blush and try to ignore it. Now though, he was finding himself tongue-tied. Talking to her was difficult, and nothing like his silence beforehand. He didn't know how to process any of this.

Which is why as the two trained together, he was sloppy in his movements, distracted by how close they were. Her movements, her skin, even their faces occasionally being close, it all distracted him. Eventually, it lead to him suffering a uppercut from the super heroine in training. Knocked on his back, he shook his head. Truthfully, his body could endure such hits. But without focus, he was still quite vulnerable. And it was clear his mind was elsewhere in the training session.]

Oh uh, good hit...really need to get my head in the game.

[You lose track of time during times of peace. Peace being something that, as a concept, Sora is perpetually unfamiliar with. It still feels surreal that things are really "over" now. The darkness that he and so many others had sacrificed so much to push back and defeat had actually, genuinely been vanquished. Those who sought to destroy the light and all of those who held it dear were, too, defeated...at least for the time being. Sora had narrowly skirted a terrible fate in seeking out that peace. Somehow, he felt as if he wouldn't be able to avoid that karma forever, but for now? There's only one thing for a keyblade wielder like himself to do.

Even with the larger threats to the worlds no longer present, the existence of heartless, nobodies, and the like continued to persist. It meant that Sora and the rest of the keyblade's chosen continued to spend their days visiting the various worlds in the universe, checking up on their statuses and ensuring they were protected from the threat of heartless. As it had turned out, a few of those previously seemingly unreachable worlds had found their connection with the larger expanses of space, meaning that Sora could visit friends he hadn't seen in quite a long time.

It's been a few months now since Sora had been regularly taking trips to Shibuya to see Neku and the others, and he'd been more than a little surprised to see how much had changed in his absence. He knew that time worked differently between some worlds, but it seemed like some years had passed. Neku wasn't the same standoffish boy that Sora had met in the dreamscape, and well...this was Shibuya, not Traverse Town, so there had been a whole lot for Sora to learn about, do, and see. It's liable to be exhausting for Neku, but Sora just can't help but be excited every time he comes. And not just for reasons of getting to see the new city...

He folds his arms behind his head as he walks side-by-side down one of the side streets with Neku, looking up at the tall buildings that overwhelm the city's skyline.]

You know, I dunno what I'd do if I lived in a place like this. It's just so...big compared to home. I'd get lost all the time!
