It had been quite awhile since anyone she recognized passed by Marie’s lake and she was starting to get lonely. The people she encountered seemed to be new faces and just ignored the lake for a time.

However, her face lit up seeing a familiar face, opting to surprise her by sneaking up in the water…

It...had been a while since Hen had visited Marie's lake, but with everything that had happened, she needed a break. No sooner had Hen arrived, she was already kicking her boots off, rolling up her pant legs to soak her feet.

...completely unaware of where the water spirit was.

There was a silent giggle as she watched Hen stick her feet in the water.

Once she did so, she manipulated the water so that her feet would sink into the mud.

Hen yelped, feeling her feet sink. She attempted to pull them out, only to relax. There was only one being in this lake capable of that, and she wouldn't lay a finger on her.

"Hello again Marie."

“Hen. It’s been ages…” Marie said, her form rising out of the water. A huge smile was on her face. “Forgive me for my entrance…”

There was an exhaustion in Hen's eyes that matched the white in her hair as she moved to wrap her arms around the water spirit. "No, you're good." she shut her eyes, simply taking in the moment. "...I missed you."

Marie caught the exhaustion in her eyes and her voice as she held her. “I missed you, too. Are you okay?”

"I've...had a rough few moons putting it lightly." Hen answered after a moment. "I needed your company."

"Poor thing..." Marie murmured, leaning to kiss the side of Hen's head. "I'm here now. I'm here for you..."

Hen not only let her, but leaned into the affection, a soft smile on her face. "Missed this." she hummed. "Missed you."

"I missed you, too..." Marie replied. She continued to lightly kiss her, her hands rubbing the girl's back gently. "I'm here for you..."
