As a master of dark magic and desperate for entertainment, Nemesis might have challenge someone to a game with a wish as a bet or pull a grim reaper and play a game with their soul for revival.

He could also just be playing a game because he likes games, whatever. Any game works for him.

"You said you cheat." The small, slim lizard sat at the table, pulling out a chair for Nemesis with their tail, and opened a brand new pack of cards. "If I can catch you at it, will you give me a future favor to be named later? And if I can't, I'll do you one free acting stint, imposture of your choice."

"I said nothing of the sort, but I'm so glad you think so." His choice of phrasing was deliberately baffling, as most things to do with Nemesis were. To be fair to him, Nemesis never did say he cheats. Just that he does not play fair, and even that he didn't technically say that either.

Nemesis dropped into the seat, as comfortable as if he were home. With the length of his digitigrade legs, it took an impressive swing to bring one over the table in order to cross them. Where he found a an 1890s Hussar uniform that fit his inhuman figure was probably long story, but fit him it did. "But that sounds like a delight. Name the game, my dear."

"Here I am, committing wild slander! You should sue me." A sagacious nod from them, then they fan the cards and admire his monstrous horsey satanic legs again. Everything about him is a joy to look at, even setting aside his penchant for costuming, and Double Trouble doesn't disguise that emotion in the least.

"Do you like gin rummy?" Their eyebrows climbed over at him, adding, "Is the way you don't-cheat to dress so handsomely that you distract me?"

"I would, but I can't be in the presence of a lawyer without unspeakable violence ensuing," he says perfectly casually, making it distinctly difficult even for an expert reader of people as Double Trouble to tell if he means it.

Quite happy to be visibly admired, Nemesis reclines a little, one hoof on the edge of the table to allow him to tip his seat back a little. The ultimate act of Khaotic rebellion, defying every school teacher in the universe at once. A wave of a talon indicates they should deal, while he addresses the other question. "I choose neither to confirm nor deny, but I will say I win just as often when I'm nude."

Which, to Nemesis, is just another fashion choice.

[It's late afternoon in one of Gotham's parks. He's been playing chess by himself at one of the many stone chess tables set up. Not that he's any good at it, but sometimes it's quiet and meditative. Never once has someone sat across from him.

( He shrugs a shoulder and views the game board, watching Jim set the pieces up, while John fingers out one cigarette and offers the pack to Jim. ) Li’l rusty, has been some time. ( He’ll pocket the cigarettes once Jim accepts or declines the offer for one, he’ll then light up his smoke (and Jim’s if he’s taken it). )

[Had this John guy seen him in the papers? Must have been. Jim automatically looks for any obvious signs of gang or crime boss related colors, tattoos, or markings. Seeing nothing he relaxes some and finishes setting up the board. He has given John the white pieces, indicating that he is to make the first move.]

Where are you from? [The accent is obviously English but it doesn't sound like a Londoner, not that Jim really knew the difference too well.]

BASICALLY OTA. Party games, high-stakes games, word games, strategy games, dangerous games, underage drinking games, video games, any game. THIS GAME. Just don't expect him to play by the rules. ]

[ Setsuna makes a sound of acknowledgement. Collect things to win, defeat opponents at mini games... that's simple enough. He may not play games, but cultural osmosis has taught him plenty.

Setsuna really doesn't think this wiimote's going anywhere, but he wears his wrist strap because breaking someone else's TV is not on today's agenda. If Masamune wants to risk his own TV's wellbeing, that's none of Setsuna's business.
