Their own personal brand of justice
The Vigilante AU meme

Whether they dress up in tights, or just have a keen eye for those in need, vigilantes exist to help. The law doesn't matter so much as doing the right thing. The right thing by their definition.
Whatever reasons they have for doing this,
How to:
1. Leave your character name, canon and preferences in a comment. A starter could help, but is optional.
2. Others respond
Optional prompts:
Scenarios:
1. Random encounter - someone's trying to do the right thing, and gets noticed. Placing a fake parking ticket on a car? Resetting someone's upturned lawn gnomes?
2. Tag team - your partner in vigilante justice. As you both set out to 'work' on the problem, how do you split up the work? Is this partnership new? A one time thing? Someone you've worked with a long time?
3. Go your own way - This has been reported for years and no one has done anything, you're fed up and how you're fixing it.
#. Free square - they saw a chance, they took it
How:
1. Friendly neighbourhood [ ____ ] - The small acts of trespassing to close open gates, freeing caught birds, rescuing earthworms, building rogue libraries, or dressing up passerbys. The small acts, small justices.
2. Part timer - They work when needed. Whether it is dressing up as a musketeer to escort students safely home against the hordes of the night, or using alternative resources to find that driver who sideswiped a parked car and ran off... you step in where officials drop the ball.
3. Full-blown action hero - Just like the comics.
4. Free square - you do what you want

Friendly Neighborhood Rain
"Oh boy."
Re: Friendly Neighborhood Rain
It's a tall figure dressed all in black leather crouching on a balcony above her. The leather is studded with a few things that look wickedly sharp and the figure is hooded. It tilts its head as it watches and a deep voice speaks from the hood. "You shouldn't be out this late."
Re: Friendly Neighborhood Rain
Especially if she didn't have a safe place to sleep that night.
Re: Friendly Neighborhood Rain
"I have ways to protect myself," the hooded figure replies without moving. "Do you have that same protection? This is not a city that is safe for the innocent."
Re: Friendly Neighborhood Rain
"Nowhere is actually safe, you know." Rain knew that. More than most, maybe.
Re: Friendly Neighborhood Rain
"I am aware," the shadow replied quietly, "it's one of the many reasons I walk the streets at night." The deep voice carries a hint of sadness. "It distresses me to hear there are children on the streets tonight." The shadow shakes its head. "This city was supposed to be the shiny beacon for others to look up to and it has followed the same path as the others around it."
Re: Friendly Neighborhood Rain
She looked at him anxiously. "But I don't let just anybody know, so please don't tell."
