Epistolary

It's all text messages and Facebook entries these days, isn't it? Maybe you're from a time or a world where letters are still being written or maybe you're just saying fuck it to your computer and your phone and to the fast paced contact methods of modern day society. Write a letter to someone you rarely see or can't for whatever reason see right now, because of distance or maybe personal issues that are more easily addressed on paper anyway. Come on, you don't need an excuse, just write that damn letter!


How to play -

1. Top-level with your character. Include prefs and the like, if you wish.
2. Others now leave a comment with a letter their character has written yours.
3. Have your character respond, then go tag around as you wish.
4. Be entertained!

So I don't feel any hesitation asking what the fuck happened with Lady Innes? Two weeks ago she was yanking her husband's hair around like reins asking for my stones on a platter, and now she's shut right up and donating bread to the 'needy children' in Camelot's lee. Which is certainly very nice and all, but wildly out of character and somewhat passive-aggressive. Cut one of her toes off in that sewing circle?

I hope you're doing okay. I'm sorry we didn't get to talk much. I have a lot of important matters to attend to.

I don't believe our conversations covered over my own, abnormal situation. I'll try to summarize at least part of it.

I've been separated from my friends and family by a being or a group of beings that are crazy, powerful, and unsettling. It's been almost two years since my friends from home have had the most encounters around them. I'm trying to find out more than what we've already learned, so I can return home safely. This is just one thing I know I have to do.

It'd take too long for me to write out further explanations, so I'll just say I've been through so much. More than most ever would in a lifetime. (When all of what I'm going through comes to an end, I could write a book about all that, heh. I'll make sure to have a lot of copies on sale in this world I've basically thought of as a sanctuary, and safe base of operations. Throughout the multiverse, it would no doubt be a bestseller.)

I'm not alone in all my searching. No world is safe from the mind wraiths. A group of newer friends I've met are helping me. There's a possibility that some from their own worlds must have documented their own experiences around the wraiths. They could be in articles, books, websites, or offline computer files. Any of those. Information on what their weaknesses would be really good.

Did you manage to go home yet? Did you get to meet up with your best friends? I wish you all the best on that. That, and to stay safe!

It was nice to meet you. I don't know if or when we would see each other again. Although, I wouldn't mind if we do.
