It's that time of the month, and Hawks downs an extra dose of supplements as he usually does as he prepares for the day. It's not something he's worried about, never has been. The supplements have always been enough to keep others away and keep him focused and in his right mind. There's the constant warning from his doctor that it's only a matter of time until that changes - that his body will catch up to him. But ever the optimist, he insists he'll be fine.

Only this time, he isn't. He's walking along a familiar path when it starts, a quickening of his pulse and his breathing. A steady heat starts to creep up his skin and color his cheeks, but he ignores it. Instead, he adjusts his jacket in a way to try and get a bit of extra air without having to take it off. It doesn't help. His senses feel like they're on edge, and with abilities like his, it borders on painful.

The sight of a familiar alley is a welcome one, and he takes a few steps into it, relishing in the shade. The coolness of the shade is welcome, but it isn't enough to stop the rising heat. He can feel something itching under his skin, a buzz of arousal that makes it hard to focus. This isn't good, he realizes, and he braces one forearm against the wall to lean his head against it. For a few, long seconds, he tries to breathe and focus himself, but it doesn't seem to help. The tremble of his feathers is evidence of that.

"Hope I'm not intruding," he manages as he hears the sound of someone walking near him. He's grateful that despite the way his senses are on edge, he can still sense someone nearby. He takes a long, deep breath before he straightens, turning to offer his best attempt at a smile. "I just need a quick break. I'll be out of your hair in a minute." But the scent that fills his nose only makes his knees wobble underneath him. This guy smells amazing, and the sound that leaves the back of his throat might just be a needy whine. Hawks can't say for sure.
