[ He's just laughing a little. Roxas is happy to be back though. Of course he'll relay messages to the rest of them too, even if they tease him mercilessly. ]

Hey, I'm ready for whatever you've got to show me, Sora. I haven't been to one of your island festivals before.

[oathkeeper]

I can't wait to show you! There's always a ton of festival food and games! It's really great!

[He's such an excited boy. He can't wait to show Roxas everything so he pats him on the back and motions for him to follow.]

Have you ever had pumpkin pie on a stick?!

[No, of course, he hasn't. He's a new boy.]

Is it really any different than regular pumpkin pie?

[ Why is it a thing to just put everything on a stick? Is that really a thing? Is Sora pulling his chain?

He wouldn't put it passed him after all.. ]

It's on a stick! Roxas!!

[That's exactly why it's different and better!! Or something... (it's just normal pie)]

You just gotta try it. I can't wait to show you all the food they sell at the festival. That's only one of the great things.

[ He doesn't get it. Why is being on a stick so important or thrilling. But since it's so important to Sora, he'll at least give it a go. ]

Do you always turn into a bottomless pit when you're gone for a year or more?

[ Roxas says this, but his expression is fond. Just teasing. Sora's so focused on food. it's cute in its own way. ]

[Sora lets out a warm laugh.]

I guess so. How would you feel if you didn't get anything to munch on for that long?

[How did he survive in that void, who knows.]

I think I just wanna make up for lost time.

I didn't eat everything in sight.

[ Because um. Sora. He has spent a very long time not being able to munch on anything since he had been needed in Sora's very own heart? ]

But if that's what you want, then what's first? We've got the whole day.

Hey-! Okay, don't say that!

[Yes, of course, he knows they spent a lot of time together where Roxas couldn't do anything a real boy could.]

I just mean! We both got a lot of time to make up now. Right?

[He nudges Roxas' arms.]

Then let's get lunch first. It's just up ahead!

[The festival grounds are in a plaza just off the beachfront. Breezy and brightly coloured, stalls upon festival stalls. The smell of cooking food wafts through the air!]

Yeah, I guess we do. I've heard people say "no time like the present." I'm guessing this is what they mean, right?

[ There's actually a lot for Roxas to take in. Twilight Town is one thing, but the Islands are another. Every time he's been here, it seems so peaceful. Relaxing. Now people are walking bout. Hustle and bustle. There are sounds of laughter and songs in the air. People are dancing and moving about.

Then yes the smell of food. It hits Roxas and he is all the more excited for it. ]

Which one's your favorite?

[Sora grins warmly at Roxas when he says that. As much as things have changed for both of them Sora is so happy to see Roxas here. Being able to live his own life and experience things for himself. It means more to Sora than he can express right now. Being able to see Roxas as Roxas and not just this warm sunset presence inside of his heart. He'll miss that feeling. But this is important.]

Anything deep-fried.

[He snorts with laughter. But that includes anything on a stick like caramels or apple pie. Sweet things.]

But for you... [He has a ponderous light tone.] How about some taiyaki? It's a pastry with a sweet filling. Wanna start with that? I'm buying!

[ On Roxas' side of things... he's glad that Sora is here. Here and awake. Things have finally calmed down so Sora, like the rest of them, can have the rest that they all deserve after everything that they had been through. Sure, it's strange at this point to be looking at Sora but. That's good.

It's nice to be looking at instead of being on the inside wanting out. ]

Taiyaki? [ So a bread item filled with something sweet. Sounds like it could be buttery too so - ] So how close is it to seasalt ice cream?

[oathkeeper]

[He has to chuckle at that and he shakes his head.]

It's not anything like ice cream but I promise you're gonna love it just as much.

[So, he'll lead the way to the stalls of street food. Various cooking and baked treats galore! And right to a happy little taiyaki stand where he buys two.]

Here! They're super fresh and flaky!

I meant flavor not really that it's going to be the same thing?

[ Yeah hold onto that thought, Sora. Because putting it in Roxas' hands when it's still "fresh" means that it is a little hot. So when he bites into it?

He does that thing people do. Open his mouth wide while chewing and breathing in going "ha ha ha ha" over and over again. ]

[Sora bursts into a warm chuckle.]

Okay! Okay, nothing like salty-sweet, right?? Be careful! It's super fresh!

[Roxas is kinda cute when he's making a face like that.]

[dualkeys]

[ Have you ever seen a dog actually try to eat a grape? Because that's what Roxas looks like until he can actually get it down. ]

You weren't joking! How can you taste it when it's that hot?

[oathkeeper]

[Sora laughs some more.]

Maybe don't bite into it so fast. Let it cool off for a second! Here.

[He might reach out to gently take Roxas' wrist so he can blow gently on the hot food to cool it down.]

[ Oh! Oh hello hand on the wrist. Unfortunately in so doing, this startles Roxas. Just enough to make the pastry wobble enough to fall out of his grip. ]

Oh!

[ Excuse him as he fumbles to try to catch it. ]

Ack! No!

[Don't drop the tasty pastry!! Sora might try to grab it too so it doesn't fall?? Hopefully, they don't bonk heads!]

[dualkeys]

[ Yeah no. They are totally going to bonk heads.

But also both catch the pastry. Holding hands and everything. ;)

Good trade off? ]

[Bonk...!!]

[Oh no. At least the pastry isn't dropped. Sora blinks and is standing there holding the pastry and Roxas' hands.]
