Do you love monster people? What if they were commonplace? What if your late-night traffic operator was a friendly vampire? What if your barista was a succubus? What if your teacher was a fairy?

All these and more can be true in a domestic monster au setting! Scenarios for this meme can be all across the board because of domestic situations, but here are some things to get you started! Post your character's canon and prefs in the titles and post the kinds of monsters and roles or jobs your character would be in the comment, as well as what scenarios you might be interested in.

1. UNDER WRAPS: Maybe supernatural things are common in the world, but that doesn't mean you want to go flaunting your business to everyone! It can be troublesome to keep certain... cravings under control, though. Who can you confide in when you're a monster?



2. THE DAILY GRIND: Been there, done that. Yeah, yeah, you know it-- you wave hello to the tentacle man collecting your trash and high five your werewolf best friend before you go to school. This is just how life is.



3. THE ODD ONE OUT:
Everyone around you is a monster... except you. You're a normal human in this crazy world-- wait. Does that make you the real monster? Whatever it is, you're the average joe in the question, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun shenanigans with your supernatural buddies!

The Daily Grind

[Ever since the invasion from outer space the monsters and youkai of Edo have been sharing the streets with various kinds of Amanto, and while the old ways of life are over for many of them the change also brought opportunities. The shogun and his family may be kirin, but they still need law enforcers to keep the city in order, and that's how Hijikata and his rag-tag werewolf pack got their new jobs.

This week they have their hands full once again, so the vice pack leader is a little testy as he prowls the dirty streets leading to Yoshiwara. He doesn't like going there, and especially not right before a full moon night. The coven doesn't go easy on men who lose their temper on their turf, and Hijikata is already temperamental enough without his base instincts taking over. It can't be helped, though; the trace of the crime he's investigating leads there. He checks his pocket watch as he approaches the red light district.]

Only four hours left until nightfall... shit, those bastards really couldn't time their crimes more conveniently, huh?
