There's a fire roaring in the study's hearth. Golden light flickering around the room, dancing across the pages of the book Fenris was working on. The elf sat on a couch, a blanket draped over his shoulders as he sounded out new words. He's dressed casually for once, a simple shirt (likely one of Hawke's), and a pair of leggings. Forever barefoot even on a chill autumn day like today.

Usually, he did his reading with Hawke at least nearby should he have questions, but the Champion was always so incomprehensibly busy he decided to try it on his own.

A terrible idea really, he's been stuck on this blasted word for more than a few minutes. The bridge of his nose wrinkled in disgust as he stares at the word like it will pop off the page or change to something easier. The only thing keeping him from tossing it into the fire was that he knew it was one of Hawke's favorites. But he's sorely tempted.
