One minute your character's going about their normal life, enjoying the spooky October atmosphere or whatever's going on in their home world, the next they're waking up in a pile of coats in a weirdly huge closet. Okay, that's pretty strange. They're also suddenly wearing some kind of costume -- silly, sexy or scary, either way it's not their usual outfit.
It doesn't look like there's any other option except to head out and explore the party..

PROMPTS!
🎃 bobbing for apples! - in one corner of the party someone's set up a big tin bathtub full of water and different colored apples. The idea of the game is to see how many apples you can grab in your mouth in one minute! Watch out, you're going to get wet! And make sure you don't bite too hard into some of those apples, they seem to have magical properties: » green apples - after eating a bite of these, you feel more energetic! Almost too energetic! You just have to get out there and dance and make friends with as many people as possible, right now! Be careful that you don't eat too many, or your unspent energy might end up turning into an intense, unshakable rage and bloodlust. » yellow apples - these apples will compel you to tell the truth, no matter who you're talking to. It might be small truths or big confessions, either way you'll feel a strong need to connect and share your inner thoughts! Hopefully whoever you're talking to won't mind hearing your secrets. » red apples [nsfw] - these apples will make you want to connect in a physical way. You'll want to touch and be touched by other people, all of your senses dialled up until even the slightest brush across your skin feels great. If you eat a lot of these you might need to jump someone's bones, like, right now.
🎃 selfie corner! - over by the stage there's a glittery backdrop surrounded by curtains, and a polaroid camera. In here there are various spooky props you can use to stage a hilarious selfie! Stick up your selfies on the wall nearby for other people to see. But be careful, if you take too many photos you might start mistaking what's in them for something real, and slowly you'll find your costume becoming almost too convincing. Before long you might discover your costume has become either partly or totally real and you've disappeared into it!
🎃 dancefloor! - there's a big cleared space for dancing in the middle of the room. The DJ is playing all sorts of tunes, though it's strangely difficult to see his face. One minute he might look normal, the next there seems to be a floating skull where his head should be. Either way, he's great at picking just the right song for the moment! Get out there and shake your spooky booty! Just don't spend too long out there, or you might find you just can't convince yourself to leave.. ever..
🎃 buffet and bar! - whoever set this party up, they've definitely planned for lots of guests. There are all sorts of drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, on offer from the bar and a big spread of party food. There's a lot of candy. Like, a lot. There's also a chocolate fountain, as well as savoury snacks like sliders, pumpkin buns and various kinds of fried cheese.
🎃 cozy rooms! - duck through a velvet curtain and you'll find yourself wandering through a series of warm, pleasant rooms lit by flickering candles inside elaborately carved pumpkins. There's music playing in here, but the vibes are much more chill. Halloween cartoons and short vintage movies are playing on the wall of one room. Most of the rooms have cushions and deep fluffy blankets covering the floors, everything you might need to make a soft nest, and some have doors you can close for privacy. This is a good space to relax and have a quiet conversation, or just spend some time enjoying someone else's company.

Joey Mallone, Blackwell Series, Voicetesting
No Halloween party is complete without a SPOOPY GHOST! Here is a blue, transparent, glowing man in a suit and fedora that looks like he just stepped out of the 1920's, sending grumpy glares over at the DJ. Is this... noise what you whippersnappers call music? He'd cover his ears, but he's not sure that actually works for ghosts.
However, in his contempt-filled glances over at the source of the music, Joey notices something. The speakers... don't seem to have any kind of cables or wires leading to them. Could it be...? Does he dare...?
Unfortunately, floating over to the speakers means that the music will just be louder for him, but as he grows closer and closer... the music begins to be interrupted with bursts of static. Yes, it's just as he thought -- these speakers are indeed wireless, and his presence is interfering with the signal as usual. Spurred on by his success, Joey floats even faster toward the speakers until he's 'standing' right next to them, and the music cuts out altogether.
He lets out a sigh of relief; ah, blessed silence.
B. Your starter
((IDK, come up with whatever. He can be a ghost or a living human. No smut or crack, please. Good with cross-canon, cross-medium, assumed CR, random stranger tags, etc.))
A.
A feminine voice questions, clearly sounding confused and not directing this query to anyone specifically. With the absence of the music it's easier to pick the audio out, though there seems to be no physical form attached to it.
"Everything was going so well- then it went all Bzzt bzzt BuwOAhwOHo!"
The girl didn't merely say the onomatopoeia but fully acted it out with all the fluctuations in volume to go with it.
"Determining the source of the disturbance, now."

"Is someone there?" He hesitates, then more gently:
"It's okay, you can come out. I'm not going to hurt you."
no subject
The girl answered succinctly and without embellishment. The question had been so straight forward that it didn't seem to require much more.
"Um... actually," Sounding unsure of herself the voice continued. "I don't think that is possible." Though it would have been nice to have joined the peculiar man in the real world, she only had a body in the metaverse. "Sorry." Genuinely sounding a little guilty to have been unable to fulfill the request.
The voice was indeed not coming from the speaker, but something smaller and easier to over look. There was a cell phone near the dj table, that hadn't been collected by it's owner yet.
"Why did you turn the music off?"
no subject
At her question, he cringes inwardly a little. Whoever this is sounds pretty young, and as much as he disapproves of the music, if he'd known she was enjoying it, maybe he'd have found another way to deal with it. Right, how can he phrase this to not make himself look like a selfish jerk?
"It was too loud," is the explanation he settles on. "It was giving me a headache." It's the truth, at least, for as little as it makes sense. "...Sorry."
