THE TINY PERSON (probably AU) MEME



For all the scenarios in which one person can fit in the palm of another.

HOW TO PLAY:
1: Post with your characters. Indicate preferred scenarios, if you like, or things you'd rather not play out.
2: Tag around. TAG AROUND.
3: Be tiny!

WHY ARE YOU SO TINY?
1: Lilliputians: You come from a land far away where things aren't the weird sizes they are here. Whether you're a strange tiny person that's been captured after washing up on shore or you're a large person shipwrecked in the land of the little people, there's some serious foreign disorientation here.
2: Borrowers: What do you mean? We've always been here. Tiny, and living just below your nose. In your walls. Taking your food. Yes, congratulations, you've finally solved the mystery of where your spare socks go in the laundry.
3: Honey I got unexpectedly shrunk: That shrink-ray was going to be totally awesome until you accidentally pointed at yourself/someone you care about. Alternatively, this is just generally a science experiment gone terribly wrong.
4: Fee fi fo fum: You live in a fantasy-style world where there happen to be giants and normal-sized people. Or normal-sized people and these weird tiny things that are so easy to step on. Your pick. (Fairies and wee free men are valid options.)
5: Other: For anything else you'd like to play out.

WHAT'S HAPPENING HERE? (optional scenarios)
1: Discovery! You've been found out! Captured! Either the little people have you elaborately restrained or the big people have you in a box. Hopefully your captors would rather make money off of you than do science experiments...
2: War! Okay, so we might be a little outmatched, but for whatever reason, there's war. The little people and the giants are trying to fight it out, and you're caught in the middle.
3: An Unlikely Friendship! Just because one of you is very small doesn't mean that you can't be bros. Maybe you can make awesome dollhouses together.
4: …Romance? Okay, no, we can make this work! …maybe.
5: And They Fight Crime! Congratulations, you're in a sitcom. What hijinks can you roommates get up to, when one can literally step on the other?
6: Culture Clash! In this modern world, you have to respect everyone, no matter how small. And you have to respect the boundaries of their culture. So what happens when a treaty needs to be negotiated? Or a murder solved, between the small and the large people? Well, just be sure you've brushed up on sensitivity training and you know not to refer to them by any offensive terms. And remember that the workplace must be accessible to people of all sizes!
7: Just Visiting. Tourism can be fun, as long as you can fit into the buildings you'd like to see.
8: Subjugation. One group is enslaved by the other group, for whatever reason. (Giants make good transportation? Tiny people make good spies/messengers?) Maybe you want to escape, or lead a rebellion, or form a friendship across the lines of small and large.
9: Other. Any scenario you can think up!

[In HDM canon, Gallivespians are about six inches tall, ride on giant foot-long dragonflies, and also do some worldjumping, so it's easy to get him into any other verse, or you can AU that gallivespians have always been in X world. Scenarios 2 and 6 are pretty canon for him, but I'm open to any of them!]

[OOC: HDM and Marvel 1602 both feature multiverses and a church militant. Pretty compatible if you're up for it. How about scenario #1?]

Kord was sadly adept at evading witchbreed hunters. Practice did, as they say, make perfect, and he'd been on the run since the war began, alone since his mothers had been taken, and his power did make him the perfect fugitive. He'd given the most recent batch the slip already. They were fit, alert ones, but inexperienced and easily frightened. He did have a particular edge in that.

They were so little threat that he'd come back to investigate, see if he might hear something about their orders that could help. Kord was invisible in the forest if he wasn't taken unawares, and he slunk through the trees well above the men, straining to make out their voices and their accents.

They didn't seem to be discussing the particularly demonic witchbreed they'd just let escape, though. They were clustered around... something. He couldn't make it out from all the way up here, and until the sun went down and brought its cold shadows with, he would be at a real disadvantage if he did. But he was sure he didn't want them to have anything that might interest them. They didn't need to be more dangerous.

Duo leaned against the wall of the container keeping him from heading back into the walls and scowled at nothing. Oh yeah, someone was getting an earful when they found him.

This is a new experience for John, moving to house as big as one like this. Mary had been set against it, wanting them to find somewhere similar to the cottage they'd lived in before. But the problem with smaller houses was that, despite being huge nonetheless for a Borrower, it was much more difficult to hide from the Beans who could jump to every corner they scurried to.

That and John didn't want a repeat of why they had to leave their old house in the first place. When that silly Bean had left his cigar on the table, the wooden and thatched building had transformed into a blazing inferno within minutes.

It was through some serious skill that the two them managed to escape alive, not to mention with their unborn child unharmed.

They'd hitched a ride on a Good Samaritan who saw the blaze and came to offer a hand - an Outie named Bill that John used to know from way back. He offered them a ride on his rat to a new house going free. It was the only one on the block up for taking. John couldn't quite work out why - the house was huge and fancy. A manor, by the looks of things. Bill wasn't sure either, just that he'd been told the Beans inside were worth keeping a distance from.

That only made poor Mary more nervous. But they had no choice. They settled beneath the floorboads and set up their new home.

Mary had so far been against going Above - begging John to go outside and to the market to get what food and belongings they needed. But John could smell the food this family ate every day - prime cut meats and delicacies. Surely there would be some going spare. And John hadn't detected any pets around. Still - Mary told him no. They could do fine without.

But John always had a problem listening to others. Especially his wife.

He lets her sleep in this morning before getting his climbing gear and sneaking out, crawling out from the floorboards and getting a glimpse at this new house. The living room alone makes his jaw drop - he could have fit the whole of the previous cottage in that room alone.

Now to follow his nose and try to find the kitchens...

Natasha can feel the compound shuddering as the charges go off in the lower levels. Ahead of schedule. Not good. She passes one possible exit, and then another, racing down the metal hallways toward the sound of the panic while Clint shouts in her ear.

This group has learned. There are places that even Natasha can't get into. Not unseen. At a certain point, put enough men on a job, and even the Black Widow can't slip past the ranks. So they're blowing the place, instead. That's the plan. Can't get the information out of the central compound, an entire place sealed up so tight that even the ventilation system could barely be cleared by a grapefruit. That's the official plan. The one that was intercepted and decrypted.

She vaults up to the ceiling, a running start and the corner of a wall put to good use. A quick twist of her body pulls loose one of those thin ducts, and she reaches her hand inside, fingers wiggling. "Come on," she whispers to herself. "Come on, come on, come on. Where are you?"

ONE MIND-BLOW COMING RIGHT UP

He creeps along the edge of the bookshelf, in the darkness. Past titles that stretch over his head, carefully around the shelf-edges not built for small people to walk on. At the end, he pulls out the slingshot he keeps tucked away, and carefully, carefully shoots a hook to catch over the edge of the lamp on the desk.

He has to look through the investigation files. He would at the police station, but it turns out that Blake here takes his files home some nights, and doesn't bring select details in to the office.

So Barsad has to find them here.

The line is almost level between desk and bookshelf, which will be good for when he needs to escape. He fixes little hooks around his wrist, made from paperclips, and begins climbing hand over hand, hook over hook along the string.

Once at the lamp, he uses the hooks again to climb down the shade. At the edge of it, he just drops off. It isn't so high, even for one of his stature.

And here he is with the files.

Barsad gets busy, reading all there is to read on the status of the investigation into the sewers. And whether or not the people looking suspect that there might be a crew of very small people underground.

Any temporarily tiny teammates, including alignment swapped Lokis, that Natasha ends up taking care of.
Any teammate who has to take care of a temporarily tiny Natasha.
Situation 6, taking on a joint mission or solving some random crime in an AU.

Let's start with 3 - And They Fight Crime!

There was a lot of reasons Logan hated working for SHIELD. For one, he wasn't allowed to punch Nick Fury nearly as much as he wanted to. Second and foremost, he was now three inches tall. He wasn't exactly known for towering over people, but this was too much. He was pissed beyond reason.

He'd been told to wait until a solution was found to his problem. Which meant SHIELD would dispatch agents that were full sized and capable of tackling the people behind this. That didn't sit well with Logan well at all. Not even remotely. If he couldn't get in on this mission the way he was supposed to, then he'd just have to smuggle his way in. He'd already managed to get into Natasha's room, by virtue of it being the closest. Now he was standing in the center of the room trying to figure out just where the hell he was going to hide.

There was another downside to being small. A distinct lack of watches. He wasn't expecting her to show up for awhile. He was wrong.
