n terms of "no wanking" I think that the bakerstreet mod needs to take on help and she needs to do it yesterday. This comm has been rife with anons bashing people in memes for the past week or two and it has reached a point where it's going to discourage people from play.

If you're a meme maker, you can choose to screen anonymous comments when you post the meme. I suggest that if you're a meme maker who just wants to contribute to community content without being forced into being a moderator by an absent comm mod, it's a viable option.

Characters suddenly find this huge urge to dance and sing like those MMD videos on youtube. Commenters can then react/make fun/or join the characters who've posted.

I wish those people who complain about there being too many meme posts would just go away and make their own comm.

It's a classic case of "No, you can't have fun your way, you have to have fun my way!" IMO.

I don't see people complaining about how many posts are made, but I see a lot of people complaining that it's the same five or six memes that get posted every week.

We really don't need The Soulmates meme or the Three Types of Love meme or whatever romance/smut meme gets posted once a week to be constantly repeated. Seriously. People are still using the old one, even if it's already a whole page back.

Those memes get, what, 50 comments max now? Which is sad, because I like smut and romance, but they all really seem to be pretty interchangeable. One can do the trick, guys! We don't need three essentially identical memes on the same page.

otherwise there's really no tried and true method for making an appealing meme. it's a lot of trial and error to find what appeals to people.

personally, i don't like memes based on one particular canon unless it's something most people would recognize, but that's also another route to take. if a canon you play from or are very familiar with has a certain aspect that would make it available to a lot of different characters from different canons (everybody as pokemon trainers! the sentinel au meme!) those tend to do alright

people should just say if they don't want to play with anime characters, female characters, red socks blue socks idk. that way, nobody's time would be wasted in confusion.

For those who didn't feel comfortable posting in smuttysws, I have created a new community, adultsws. It's the same premise as ssws except there will be no one clique taking over the comm.

We haven't officially opened yet but we are allowing people to join. Just like ssws, there are requirements to join and you have to be approved but it's quick and easy. We hope to have it open for everyone in a day or two.
