Dancing well takes serious skill and talent, but just about anyone can shake their hips or tap their feet to a beat. No matter your competency in cutting the rug, there's some pleasure to be found in letting loose and moving your body to the music. Not to mention... sometimes it's fun to get all dressed up! (And if not, then perhaps in seeing a partner all dressed up?)

It's the biggest social event of the year - provided you're still in high school! Do you have the guts to ask your crush to the dance, or are you more the shy wallflower type? How about a platonic date with your bestie?

Ah, the formal gala: it's prom for adults! Dress in your finest and get yourself a partner for a tango or a waltz. It's for charity, after all.

Do a little jig in the kitchen, or enjoy a living room slowdance with a significant other to the dulcet tones of your smart speaker.

You're hitting the clubs and you're ready to grind! What better place to meet new people who know how to have fun?

You take dance very seriously. Like, competition-level seriously. Practice with a partner, or face off against a rival.

[ Oriphi has found herself in attendance of far too many fancy parties for her comfort, as of late, and she's not sure why. She is someone who's spent the last year or two traveling through various woods - occasionally crossing paths with various adventuring parties and making friends of them along the way - so to say that she's out of her element in a city with wealthy folks who are dressed nicely is a vast understatement. Still, she's found herself here for better or for worse, and at the request of her companions she has opted not to attend as a mouse hiding in the pocket of somebody's jacket or underneath their hat. Instead, she is but a tiefling druid in a dark green gown who has magically crafted so many flowers in her hair and around her horns that, standing shyly along the outskirts of the bustling activity and all of the dancing of the party as she is, she could literally be a wallflower.

She's, for the most part, content with standing there and occasionally indulging in a tiny sandwich or three, but a look of quiet fret remains on her face all the while, mostly out of worry that one of her friends will cause a stir. It's not until she spots another familiar face that she did not expect to see tonight that she seems to brighten up. ]
