That 'glowy blue stuff' in Romulan ale and will knock you on your ass. No thank you. He slides right up next to Jo, a beer in each hand, and slides one toward her. The brew is dark, a stout or porter, and smells like a nutty mix of chocolate and coffee.

"I think there's something wrong with my eyes..." he announces, choosing a pick up line as cheesy as his smile. He knows he can get away with it too. Every time they share a drink, he meets her again for the first time. It's their tradition now. He's shooting for either a smile or a groan. He'll take either one.

He's keeping away from the chaos of the dance floor (or space above the dance floor), totally not because he's anxious or anything, but because he is too cool for that.
