[ Glad to be of any help, and honestly, it's also helping her to be more clear of the path she wants to take. Dave can be a lot of things, not all good things, but he'll always be an inspiration for Meryl. ]

[ Sure, he could go dark and cut all contact, but Snake hasn't seen the need to do that so far. He gets this feeling that regardless of what he does, their paths are going to cross again eventually. He just hasn't decided how he feels about it yet. ]

[ Her feelings towards him will always be complex, sometimes bitter and sometimes full of longing, to make him proud. But Meryl is sure she'll always be grateful to have met him. ]

[ He didn't know what to make of her or their interactions half the time. During a mission he doesn't have to overthink, just act, but the aftermath is always where it gets muddy. ]
