What could they possibly want at this hour? Is it important? Stupid? Are they drunk or maybe just needy? Do they need help hiding a body??? Pick up your phone and find out! But yes, I can hold onto it. It's been hung up in the closet and everything.

I appreciate it. It wouldn't be easy to replace.

I'd hardly get rid of a friend's belongings.

You'd be the expert on ships and storms, however, seeing as I've not been on the former and only experienced the latter from good shelter.

All I'll say is that plenty of people like to romanticize the life of a pirate, but it's not all fun and games. See for yourself before you make any decisions about staying for the long haul.
