i just thought it would be cool
like we could make mini jetpacks for them and they could fly around in them

they wouldn't use them during the ACTUAL race obviously
it's going to be a totally humane rat race

Why don't you make them decorative jetpacks that look cool but don't make them fly, and then you can try to see if they navigate zero g on the ship sometime?
