The Sex Pollen Meme

This is a highly sexual and somewhat dangerous meme! Many if not all options are potentially triggering. Please use your best judgment before participating.

1. Comment with your character, putting their name, canon, and any prefs (e.g. women only, not #4, AU, aged up, etc.) in the subject line and/or comment.
2. When other characters tag in, they'll use this handy RNG (1-9) to pick an option from the list below.

Options:

1. The Slutty One: When you're sprayed with this pollen, all you wanna do is bang. All inhibitions go out the window—if you don't get some orgasms pumping out, your whole world is gonna end. Seduction, debasement, that's what this option's all about. Do whatever it takes to get that sweet, sweet satisfaction.

2. The Violent One: This pollen makes you wanna bang, sure, but it also makes you pissed as fuck. Everything's painted in red—the anger's overwhelming. Whoever you see next? That's who's taking the full force of your assault. You don't know if you wanna punch 'em or kiss 'em, but something's gonna happen.

3. The Soulmate One: There's only one person the pollen is driving you to find, driving you to romance, driving you to be with — biblically. And maybe it's not someone you want to be this attracted to, but your mind/body/spirit—everything's saying yes. Even if your sensibility alone says no. Time to hunt out your soulmate and convince them this is destiny.

4. The Touch-based One: This pollen works a tad differently from the others. Instead of dousing an individual and making them need, it waits until they've touched someone. It could be the slightest brush of fingertips, it could be a kiss from an already willing lover. Whatever it is, the pollen's activated, and there's no going back. Every touch feels a little bit better than the last.

5. The Possessive One: This sex pollen is the lovechild of options 2 and 3 — a pollen that makes you crazy about that one particular person. You've gotta have them, protect them, own the moment. There's no one you'd rather be 'sharing' this with, and no one they're allowed to. Jealousy and need taken to the highest level.

6. The Snuggly One: The lightest of all the sex pollens, this variety just asks for some good, snuggly fun. Not necessarily vanilla, but definitely kinder. A hug can be just as good as a handjob if it's from the right person. Kinda.

7. The Hallucinogenic One: Whooooa, man. This is a trip. Nothing's looking quite right, the sky is purple, the ground is pitch black, and the person in front of you looks like your latest wet dream. This pollen clogs the mind and leaves its victim feeling high and confused. What a predicament.

8. The Animalistic One: Speaking of dulled down thought processes—this pollen has removed all of them. Nary a one remains, because now you're pure animal, living in the moment, looking for a mate. Your ability to speak in more than hisses and growls and monosyllabic conversation's been compromised. Let's hope it passes.

9. Wild Card: Mixup, mashup, do whatever you like.

It's been a strange night.

When the fuel gauge needle drops to E on an empty stretch of road in the middle of nowhere -- even though Monica could swear it was three quarters full only moments ago -- it's only the last in a series of strange events.

It all started with the crop circle.

Official S.W.O.R.D. business doesn't usually land Monica in a corn field in the middle of nowhere with no back-up. She's not exactly S.W.O.R.D's go-to-gal for something as pedestrian as crop circles. But she's the closest agent, and would she mind swinging by and recording it?

Except no one mentions the seven foot tall flowers which have sprouted in the middle of the crop circle, seemingly overnight. Alien origin, presumably. But Monica grabs the field scanner out of the back of the S.W.O.R.D-issued SUV. (The type of vehicle that screams 'cover government agency' as clearly as if it was written across its side in neon pink.)

All Monica has to do is take a sample, analyze it, and use the report to determine course of action. The plastic gloves and gas mask she grabs from the trunk of the SUV feel like an unnecessary precaution, but better safe than sorry.

It all falls apart at the sample stage. Turns out, the flowers have teeth, and they don't take kindly to being sampled.

It's probably more down to luck -- and the limited reach of the petals -- than skill that the flower tears off her gas mask rather than her face. In the same instant, another one of the flowers dips down and nips at her shoulder. It tears through her suit jacket and blouse, scraping at the skin below.

When she re-groups at the SUV at the edge of the corn field to call it in, her radio is dead in her hands, and her cellphone suddenly has no reception. She's on her own.

Screw the sample stage. Skip straight to destruction.

Once the floral threat has been disposed of, ​Monica is both soaked with sweat, her blouse clinging against the small of her back, and covered in a fine yellowish dust. She does her best with handsanitizer and the wadded up McDonald's napkins she found in the center console of the SUV, but her skin still feels tacky to the touch.

It's fine. It's all fine.

All she needs to do is drive back into range of a cell tower, call it in, and then she can find the first best motel and grab a long shower.

Except, of course, the SUV spluttering to a halt on an empty and dark stretch of road. In the grand scheme of things, it seems almost inevitable. ​At least there are lights in the distance, heralding a run-down gas station of dubious brand allegiance.

Best get to walking.

The door chimes when Monica walks through. Under the harsh fluorescent lights it's easy to see the yellowish powder still coating her hair and cheeks despite her best efforts, and the slightly bloodstained rip at her shoulder. She'd feel self-conscious, but the guy behind the counter has a look about him like he's seen worse.

"Just this," she says, putting a stick of gum -- Juicy Fruity, which for the record is not her usual gum of choice, but the first one she grabbed -- on the counter. "And the key for the bathroom, please."

From a shallow pocket of her yellow dusted suit jacket, Monica pulls out a couple of crumpled bills and counts out three ones. Monica's never been that asshole who throws money on the counter for the cashier to awkwardly pick up, and her momma's upbringing isn't going to let her start now. So, she holds out the money and waits for him to take it. When his fingertips brush hers, a strange kind of warmth stirs where they touch.

Like static electricity except less a jolt and more-- slipping into a warm bath at the end of a rough day. It's gone in an instant. So quick she thinks maybe she imagined it.

"You don't happen to have a payphone, do you?"
