It's fall! The air is growing crisp, the leaves are turning, and the warming smell of pumpkin spice tingles at your nose. Grab your lattes and don your light jackets, it's time to enjoy the season!

She shines like a beacon, even surrounded by so many. A man, carrying tankards of ale, jostles her, and Rosiel doesn't understand how that ruffian didn't see her, when she is all he sees, all he has ever seen. He hurries on over, wrapped in a simple black coat he borrowed from Katan, his conspicuous hair pulled back in a braid.

"Fancy meeting you here, sister", he calls out, his voice syrupy and cloying. His rosebud mouth briefly contorts in a moue of distaste. "Or perhaps not, you always did enjoy the stench of Assiah, didn't you?"

The crowd presses around them, and Rosiel shrinks away from the multitudes of bodies reeking of beer and sweat. People are laughing, and dancing, spilling their drinks without a care in the world, Sloth and Gluttony and Lust parading shamelessly through the streets. He could never understand his sister's fondness for these downtrodden creatures that mill around like so many ants -humans, demons, all the same to him- and her refusal to return to Atziluth, white and pristine and holy, where she belongs.

Not pristine, defiled, a voice whispers in the back of his mind, but he pushes it aside.

"Making me travel all this way to see you, it's not very sisterly of you, Alexiel."

[Theseus shouts to get Kirschtaria's attention, first to him then to the large pumpkin he's lifting. It's big enough to possibly fit a whole Kirschtaria inside, but Theseus holds it up effortlessly.

This was the first time the long-departed king attended a vaguely American Fall Festival. He's dressed in colder weather clothing that's quite different from his usual Grecian getup, and everything seems to excite and impress him.]

This is what happens when Cal goes anywhere without his little automated map-making friend. He gets hopelessly lost—in a corn maze, of all places! Which is sorta the point of the place, but still. Making it to the center of the maze promised free tickets for the fair's famous apple cider, and Cal promised that he'd get his entire crew at least one round. He'd expected it to be an easy ten minute jaunt, but he feels like he's passed the same ears corn half a dozen times by now. Not even his usually spot-on intuition seems to be doing much for his progress, which might be worrying in any other situation, but is just plain embarrassing here. Surely the Force should be guiding his way, or something?

But he's had no luck on that front so far, which is probably why he visibly perks up when he rounds yet another identical tall, green corner and spots not only another person, but (for the first time in what feels like 5 minutes) a pathway that isn't clearly a dead end!

Perfect. Surely she's not just as lost as he is. "Hi!" He gives Aerith an awkward little wave with his free hand, looking mostly harmless despite the broad shoulders and face littered with little scars (maybe it's the very dorky smile), then hoists up the little cinnamon sugar donut baggie that he's holding with the other. "Want to team up? I brought snacks."
