Someone Is Sleeping in My Bed!
(Expanded Edition)

Sometimes people say fuck it, I'm tried. But that's okay. People sleep. Sometimes the bed is oh so cozy and you want to snuggle under a blanket and sleep forever. And sometimes you don't care if it's your bed or not. You're going to sleep. Like a boss.

Too bad someone doesn't agree.

Rules
The Poster is the character who is asleep.
The Responder is the one who discovers the sleeper.
Therefore, the Responder must do one of three things

Decide you know this person! (Castmate, previous threader, whatever.)
Go to Random and Roll.

1. Wake them up - You don't care how friendly you are to the person in your bed; they need to get up
2. Happy Awakening - Such a shame they're so deep asleep when you're in the mood. How about a nice wake up call? (if you don't like smut, keep this to cuddles, kisses, hugs, or reroll)
3. Prank! - Oh, this has just go to stop. They need to be punished. But how?
4. Can't beat 'em, Join them - Push 'em over and snuggle up. You're too tired to deal with this craziness right now. Or sleep on your couch.
5. Let them Sleep - Whatever, it's noon. They're asleep and you got things to do. Regard them or disregard them.

Decide you have NO CLUE this person is! (People that haven't threaded with each other before, crossovers, castmates who haven't met.)
Go to Random and Roll.

1. Scream 'OMGWTFBBQ GET UP' - While this is probably the default reaction, it's a pretty honest one.
2. Prank! - What a better way for you to remember this moment of meeting than by painting a mustachio on your new 'friend's' face? (Remember, it's your bed. Be wise on what you do.)
3. Gently wake them up - Oh, the poor dears! They must be exhausted but they can't stay here. Be nice, even if it isn't IC for your character. This is what you get for rolling. Shake them up quietly. Or reroll.
4. Get to Know them NON-Biblically - Well, they're asleep. But they left their wallet, important work, or identification out (no matter how OOC it may be)! Let's see who's REALLY sleeping in your bed. (Use your own judgment on what you find. As a suggestion, have the most they find is the sleeper's name and maybe place of work.)
5. Tie 'em up - FUNCTIONAL tying up. Not kinky, no matter what the other party might think. Let them continue their blissful moment of rest. They'll answer questions later and you'll be safe and sound.

Decide - f**k the police. You hear me right. F**k 'em.
You move forward and make your own fate!

Yes, he's got his own bed, in his own room. It was so kindly provided by the magnanimous Baron himself. That bed had rustled luxurious sheets, with a threadcount that wouldn't fit on the packaging it had come in unless they shrunk the font. A goose down-stuffed blanket draped off the edge, half on the ground. Creases and folds pulled towards the edge, and a faint dip in the middle where all the weight tends to gather.

There wouldn't seem to be anything wrong with that bed. Even though there was a sleeping body on the floor next to the bed for weeks before it managed to relocate to the designated dip spot, after a couple of serious 'it's not you, it's me' heart to hearts.

But that bed doesn't smell like the cologne that keeps the nightmares at bay. The one that does currently has an exposed, bare torso disappearing into the blanket down past the abdomen and a head of dark hair on the pillow, face mostly buried with an exposed right eye and right cheek the only indication that Goldilocks might have managed to go back to sleep. A folded right arm weighs down one end of the pillow, thumb just grazing the hair on the top of his head while the other clips the corner of the pillow with his heavy metal forearm and wrist, each individual plate that forms his curled fingers and thumb locked and looking rigid and less relaxed than he actually feels.

Usually even a change in the room pressure would have made him stir, but the windows and door were already ajar, and the plush carpet absorbs the sound of any heavy footsteps. As it turns out, this would be the best room to murder someone in their sleep. Zemo should maybe consider relocating.

[ Is half a day really all it takes for a person to help themselves to things that don't belong to them?

To be fair, Nephvir had ventured out to conduct his business late in the evening, and he'd left the place looking fairly uninhabited. The only traces of his presence inside the secluded, shabby cabin was a pile of sticks near a long-cold hearth, partially melted candles, and a heap of soft-furred blankets on a rickety old bedframe.

And also to be fair, maybe his irritation is a little hypocritical since this isn't even his cabin. It's one he'd found abandoned quite a while ago, which he tends to occupy whenever he's passing through the area. It's his own personal little hideout.

Or maybe not so personal anymore, considering the lump burrowed in to his bedding. The curtain of dark hair is unfamiliar to Neph, and unfortunately for the stranger, the night sky's rumbling has at last progressed to a full-on downpour. They'll have a soggy hike ahead after Nephvir gives them the boot.

Even after a number of drying cantrips, Neph's pack is still slightly damp whenever he tosses it across the one-rooom shack. Not only does it slam heavily against the floor, it clatters against one of the wooden chairs near a corner, loudly announcing his presence in a very deliberate wake the fuck up sort of way. ]

Shaw liked to think himself less as paranoid so much as possessing a necessary amount of caution. Enough that he imagined even the least observant person drifting through life, not worrying about a knife in the dark, would notice what currently had his ears pricked. When Shaw had left his apartment in Old Town that morning, his bedroom door was positively not closed. Neither was the chair by the kitchen table not pushed out so far. A myriad of other minor discrepancies told him plainly that someone had broken in and quite possibly still here.

If nothing else, Shaw had to hand it to this would-be assassin. Few Shaw would even consider close acquaintances knew the exact location of this place. Whoever was trying to do him in was an obvious lout for all these mistakes but did their research. It was almost a shame they'd had to be dispatched like a rat now.

Daggers drawn, the next part of the plan was simple: Kick the door in to spook whoever was beyond it. They were hoping to catch Shaw off guard, and his best bet was to turn that against them. Shaw threw all his weight into a kick that knocked the door in, taking a step back to build momentum before connecting his foot on the hinge. The door slammed so hard against the wall it threatened to be knocked off its frame entirely.

There, his 'dangerous assassin' lay half-dressed and sprawled out like a sunbathing cat on the bed. The pillow, his pillow, complete with a bit of dark spot where drool had collected.

5. Sleep in!

[Gumshoe has a strange way of sneaking into Olivia's life, more than any normal member of the police force would. Call it fate, or simply being in the same space for work, their paths seem to be crossing on a weekly basis. It's inevitable, given her background as a former autopsy technician turned funeral sciences major. The police have her on speed dial for any case where a body pops up. Someone has to take care of it, after all! And Gumshoe has always been there to provide information and paperwork in a diligent manner.

Last night was one of those calls that ended in a much different fashion than she could've predicted. Instead of going back to the morgue with a corpse, she found herself driving Gumshoe back to her small home. A decision she wouldn't normally make under a sound mind...

Don't worry, Detective, she slept on the sofa in her office so you could have the king-size bed.

She enters the bedroom quietly the following afternoon, taking a seat in one of the plush chairs adjacent to the bed, still wearing a now-wrinkled button-up shirt and slacks, tie loosely hanging from her neck. In her hand is a mug of green tea, which she idly sips at while staring at the large lump of bedsheets.

The real question on her mind is what to do now. Should she wake the detective from his restful slumber? Ask him to politely vacate her home? Either way, she's going to need to change suits and shower eventually, as her schedule is flexible enough to do some late-night work to compensate for missing this morning. But for now, she'll watch and wait, see if Gumshoe naturally arises from the bed. Or if other methods are necessary...]
