[NEW MEME & NEW MEME COMMUNITY] The Stages of Relationships Meme

THE STAGES OF RELATIONSHIPS MEME

The course of love often doesn't run smooth. This is especially so as the years go by. Still, being together for a long time has its benefits...
The first official meme HERE[community profile] lovestrike
For the first few memes I post, I'll crosspost them here, but if you'd like to see things in the future that I or others may post, join or keep an eye on the community.

Hello and welcome to LOVESTRIKE, a community dedicated to roleplaying memes of a shipping nature. Recently, there's been an influx of shipping and smut memes on the main DWRP meme hub, BAKERSTREET, which is not everyone's cup of tea. Hoping to alleviate some of the more romantic-themed bulk off of bakerstreet, lovestrike was born!

That's it. That's pretty much the gimmick here. On to the rules!

RULES!
  1. Anyone can post any kind of meme they like, as long as it's shipping or smut.
  2. Be respectful to your fellow players. Do not stalk, harass, or ignore preferences.
  3. If you have any problems, PM the mod account.
  4. Put all triggering content behind a cut.
  5. Don't stretch the page. All images used should be less that 600 pixels wide.
  6. Try not to repeat memes too often.
  7. Go nuts!

GREAT idea. I'm going to follow it! But you guys should get a prettier layout.

Except that a good portion of us like shipping and gen, so it's stupid to make a whole new community just because some people are too lazy to scroll past whatever they don't like.

+1

All this nonsense could be squashed if they just post the memes they want to see rather than waste time crying about the ones they don't. And if the memes they post don't get any hits, well...it's not like banishing smut/romance from this community is going to change that.

But I do give the creator of [community profile] lovestrike an A for effort. I'll check it out.

There's too much violence on bakerstreet, too. Let's make a violence-only meme community.

There's also too much crack. Let's make a crack-only meme community.

And there's way too much-

Okay, sarcasm aside, do you see what I'm getting at here? If you're going to make theme-specific meme communities, that's fine. But bakerstreet has always been a place for general memes, which means we can find all types of memes here. Attempting to stifle romance and smut is silly and counter-productive, especially since even the most basic, open-ended memes often have a huge potential for a romance/smut component.

Good luck with the new community and all (and I mean that sincerely). I'll tag around there if stuff is cross-posted, but I'll be severely disappointed if I can't come to bakerstreet and find all kinds of memes, regardless of whether or not I'm in the mood for shippy stuff. There's a reason most of my friends consider it their one-stop meme community.

... I think everyone here after first-anon needs a refresher course on the definition of "alleviate".

Hoping to alleviate some of the more romantic-themed bulk off of bakerstreet, lovestrike was born!

al·le·vi·ate
[uh-lee-vee-eyt]
verb (used with object), al·le·vi·at·ed, al·le·vi·at·ing.
to make easier to endure; lessen; mitigate: to alleviate sorrow; to alleviate pain.

No one is banning shipping/smut from Bakerstreet guys calm down.

Seems like a nice idea to me, in any case! I'll check it out!

Is it really that serious? No need to break out the Websters.

"Too much of the same types of memes."

"Just scroll. Or post what you want to see."

"Okay."

"OMG THIS IS SOOOOO UNNECESSARY!!!!"
