What is the god of mischief doing in her bed? She barely knows him. All Beth knows is that he’s miserable, doesn’t seem to trust the doctors in the area, and needed someone to take care of him. Why not? It isn’t as if she has a big tournament to practice for or a life to live.

But she might as well do this all the way, right? So, there he is, tucked into her warm bed with a cool compress resting on his forehead, and there she is, adding the finishing touches to a gigantic pot of homemade chicken noodle soup. It makes her sick how domestic this feels. Ladling a little of the soup into a bowl, she carries it up the stairs to Loki and nudges the bedroom door open with her foot.

“I’m not really sure how your stomach works, but my mother would say that you need to try to eat,” she smiles weakly, carrying the bowl over to him. “Want to try?”

[Loki can't be sick. He refuses to accept it. He can't even remember the last time he was sick. But as it turns out, magical illnesses don't care if you're the echo of a thousand year old god. They do care that you're technically a child and children are little monsters full of germs and junk.

And so, in the middle of casting a teleportation spell, he sneezes. And ends up in another universe, in the middle of this Scott Lang's house.

"You were the one who wanted to change," a vision of his younger self taunts him over his shoulder.]

Gh... [but before he can tell himself to shut up, he sneezes again. And teleports again, though this time a much shorter distance and into a bookshelf or something, promptly making a mess of things.]
