Word Association is a common word game involving an exchange of words that are associated together. [ Todoroki stays by the window keeping an eye out for his returning classmates. He doesn't feel the need to break the silence just to fill the space, so the movement of trees clashing against the wind becomes the backdrop to the night.

He stays there for some time watchful of any movement down below until a familiar figure steps into his line of view. He reaches for his phone before the first ping comes through. He reads the message and sends a text back which is answered almost immediately. The back and forth takes less than a minute but it leaves him feeling a little less anxious. ]

[ He shifts his attention to his silent companion regarding him with a curious look. He doesn't know much about sorcerers but it seems he's not the only one stuck on the sidelines tonight. ]

Who are you waiting for?

More like 'what'. Instructions to move.

[ the way megumi moves on from that answer to the next thing he says is immediate yet not abrupt; he's not trying to hide anything, he simply feels that answer is sufficient. ]

I hope the other person you're waiting for shows up soon.

[ technically there is also a 'who'. there are a number of them in fact, but perhaps like the hero in front of him there is still too much out of his own hands. admittedly, megumi says he's waiting for further direction but the unspoken is that if enough time passes he'll move without. needs must; and he can travel differently than most. still some rough edges to work out but nothing to be done about it.

outside the storm is such that in a less fitful time megumi would be back in his dorm with a book and perhaps his remaining divine dog slung across his lap like the old friend that it is. when was the last time he did such a thing? he honestly can't remember.

but somehow killing time peaceably with todoroki is calm enough too, if in a different way. ]
