You've seen The Morning After, and the Build-Up, and even the Mid-Fuck memes. But what about the moment after characters have done the deed? Do they cuddle or light up a cigarette? Go for seconds or reflect on what just happened? Hop into the shower to wash away their sins? Regret everything?

Well, we'll find out, won't we?

[The snow and ice surround the door of the armory. It will be some time before they can shift it and step out onto the mountain peak. But it doesn't matter. Zishu is experiencing freedom from pain and misery. The night before, his body had been healed and he had been granted immortality - only for him to then see his Lao Wen crumble before him. He had held his soulmate in his arms, tears never-ending as his heart shattered. Nothing was worth his Lao Wen's life. Nothing.

Miraculously, not long after he stated his conviction in a shaking voice, Wen Kexing stirred. Once Zishu saw those eyes open, he hadn't been able to stop himself from kissing the man silly.

And so...the night had progressed...

He is half-asleep now, staring at the ceiling high over their heads, well-aware of the solid warmth of his Lao Wen beside him.
