[Scenario idea: Meredith's boss has only recently found out she knows he's a supervillain, in the aftermath of her being kidnapped by an anti-hero who wanted to explain her boss's secret to her. He's hired a bodyguard not only to protect Meredith from future trouble with superhero types, but also to ensure she's not telling anyone about him. Bring me your grumpy, bitter semi-villainous (or worse) types who can't believe they have to babysit this snarky bitter Millennial office worker.
Possible room for some h/c stuff, as Meredith has chronic illness issues and will roll her ankle at a moment's notice.]

[Well, his boss isn't a supervillain exactly, but he is a mob-affiliated Roman vampire with a thing for hiring humans he can easily control with good wages, excellent working conditions, and great benefits. Danny here is third in command of one of the local crime families and his boss's connection to the mob. He's also head of security of his boss's company and totally who his boss would turn to in order to make sure Meredith was okay and wasn't spilling his secret following kidnapping by some vampire hunter who wanted to try to make her see how bad her boss is.]
[Witness to a crime, or perhaps a forensic expert testifying in a highly public case and needing protection? Typically works in a morgue, maybe found certain evidence that could be damning to someone.
Optional twist: Molly and your character hooked up at one point in the past - maybe a complete one night stand, maybe a hot makeout sesh. Either way, she has quite a shock upon meeting her Protector and recognizing their face.
Extra awkward trying to stay professional or avoid suspicion.

[ good with playing either side of it! she is technically from a royal house, after all (and down to fudge Bloodline events so she winds up inheriting the governorship of Birren after all), aside from all the potential enemies of her family (the Hutts have probably had a bounty on her since she was born). she's also more than capable of dispatching threats through various means, and her possessive streak means she'd be very keen on protecting anyone she cared about. could also easily do something with her "stuck" on another world, which could merit protection because of her abilities and/or her unfamiliarity with that world - or because she's lost her abilities temporarily but still acts the same and takes similar risks out of habit.
