Open to canon, crosscanon, crossmedium, etc. Ash is canonically bisexual so while shipping is difficult without assuming CR, M/F and M/M are both welcome though I request they be 16+ with no upper age limit. Maybe utilized by the government for missions? Idk. I'm pretty open about this. I think she could be either Alpha or Omega, if that comes into play, and I'm pretty game for most of the scenarios to play. Medieval AU, Gotham AU, crosscanon's all good. Hit me up.]

Andy muttered to herself as she paced, seeming like she might wear down a path in the grass if she kept it up much longer. These days she didn't like them venturing too far outside their already-expansive territory but there had been whispers of some new pup stumbling around in a nearby unclaimed area. They'd all been around at this too long to let someone — innocent or not, accidentally or not — lead rivals or worse, hunters, straight to their den. If it was just some hapless former-human who had happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and gotten themselves turned, some new wolf pointers could be offered and then send them on their way. Maybe a little cold but a pack wasn't one-size-fits-all and they had been together for ages now, Andy figured she was more than allowed to be extra protective about just who they even considered letting in their ranks. If the whispers turned out to be bait, well, they were plenty equipped to deal with that. It had been some time since they had needed to brawl with another pack but it wouldn't be the first and likely not the last time.
She still wasn't certain if there actually was some new werewolf out in the nearby ether but that had become a far secondary concern. Who knew, maybe there had been and the poor kid had met a quick end to their new life. Solo wolves of any age rarely tended to fare well but doubly so when they were new to it all. If there were hunters that took pity on new ones, she'd never met any.
The pacing and muttering only stopped at a soft rustling nearby, less because of the sound and more because of the familiar scent returning. "Are they still following?" she asked when Nicky emerged into the clearing. The town had been crawling with at least a few hunters — some days she really missed centuries past when they were more likely to be solo, and much easier to deal with — and while they made a hasty exit once they realized, it hadn't been without unfortunately drawing some attention.

They weren't a large pack -only six of them in total- and they weren't all one species of shifter but for over 900 years, they'd made it work. Andromache and Quynh had been first, then he and Joe had found each other before joining the two older women. Booker had only been turned two centuries ago and was still mopey about it and Nile, well Nile was their newest pack member and the youngest when turned of the group.
Nicky used that to justify her teasing comment in his head even when it was still playing on his mind as he and Joe got ready for bed. He's dressed down in his t-shirt and shorts, already sprawled out under the covers like the cat he is, watching Joe as he gets changed as well.
"She's right, you know? Nile?"
