It's your first day of school! What brought you to this academy? Are you a teacher, or a student? Do you come from a long line of prestigious magic users, or are you a total normie?

2. Magic Practice!
Time to get practicing! There's plenty to learn here at the academy: elemental magic, summoning, hexes, fortune telling... and so much more. What's your specialty?

3. Cafeteria Hijinks
Grab some grub! School food might be different from what you're used to back home, but the cafeteria is a good place to meet new people and make friends.

4. Study Session
Maybe you're struggling, or maybe you're a teacher or a top student helping out a friend with a little after school tutoring. Regardless, plenty of things can go topsy-turvy when it's magic you're studying.

5. Dorm Life
Home away from home! Will your roomies be your best friends, or your worst enemies? Do you need help decorating? There's a spell for that! Just take care not to accidentally explode your mattress.

6. The School is Haunted
Something is going bump in the night and it's up to you to investigate. At this school, there's no telling whether the culprit is mischievous spirit or just a human prankster!

7. Field Trip
Out in the world at last! Maybe you're tagging along with a professional adventurer, or out gathering crystals and herbs, or perhaps your class has been tasked with clearing a village of pesky imps.

8. School Festival
Food, festivities, fun! What are the games like at a magic academy? How about the sporting events?

9. Oops...!
Something's gone wrong! There's a dragon in the courtyard, or some strange curse has settled over the whole school and it's up to you to reverse it. Better act fast!

But this term, they both have a break period at the same time, and when Caleb walks into the lounge for a breather on this sunny Tuesday, Shiroe's already there with a cup of tea and a heavy tome of magical theory. He glances up when he realizes he's not alone, flashing a quiet little smile.

"You're the transmutation professor, right? Do you have Luc Brenatto in your classes? He's been acting up in mine, and I've been meaning to ask how other teachers deal with him."

[Dorian’s an adept enough student of magic. He gets good marks in the subjects that interest him, and passable ones in those that don’t. He has friends, is a member of a few clubs, and generally participates in student life around the academy.

Truly, his day to day demeanor doesn’t seem to match the reputation he’s managed to pick up through whispered conversations. Surely someone with such an innocent face hasn’t been sneaking into the restricted sections of the academy after hours?

(Except he has, and none of that midnight spelunking has brought him any closer to the answers or magic he’s looking for.)

And that’s why he goes to one of his professors now. Lucifer is known for indulging student curiosity when he feels like it, and Dorian’s hopeful he’ll be able to get something out of the man now. After Lucifer wraps up his latest lecture, Dorian gathers his things and makes his way to the front of the room to stand before him.]

He tests students to ensure they're worthy of handling dragons with both written and physical tests, so they won't even get to interact with the dragons for a while. He's also huge on social media with an Instagram, a TikTok, a YouTube, and a Twitter account with going ons about his daily life and more dragon caretaking tips.

Also, he specializes in weather magic. Think Storm from X-men, but on a slightly lesser scale.]

[Do you want to do a thing? tl;dr personality, Celica's a kind, emotionally distant at times sort, canonically a princess in disguise dealing with a lot of stress after her entire family dies, but as this is an AU the finer details don't matter in that sense.

MORE IMPORTANTLY, and why I ask instead of pistol whip with a starter: 6. Something more serious, like first year students vanishing and people suspecting The Howler - the rumored soul of a cursed wizard bound to the school - of abducting them. Or something more silly, like The Howler going off at 2AM and this being an extracurricular exercise as they go fucking try to turn off the ghost.]
