A truce. When King Maxwell had been offered a truce in a war that lasted far too long, Solo was eager to look into it. Their kingdoms had warred for years, decades, close to a century. Each side had lost someone precious to them because of the war. It had gone on too long and the kingdom had suffered greatly because of it.

And the royal families wanted peace. So they, the Kings, met and hammered out a truce uniting their lands with a royal marriage: King Heero and crown Prince Duo would be wed. The first child to come of their marriage, because Duo was an omega and could bear children, would rule the Yuy kingdom and the second would rule the Maxwell kingdom.

Today was the day that Duo was to arrive at the Yuy castle. His father would come to sign the treaty and be there for the wedding in a week. Duo was there to get to know his future husband.

Duo wanted nothing to do with this. He had told his father that this was a horrible idea, that he would somehow screw it up, and that they would be at war once again and their kingdom would lose their crown prince. Duo was pretty sure that their morale couldn't take that kind of hit.

But it had been decided and Duo was sent to live with Heero and in the Yuy kingdom as an offering of peace. While Duo wanted peace he didn't want any part of this. He had heard rumors about King Heero, how vicious and evil he was, and Duo wanted nothing to do with him.

So when his carriage with a full arm guard made up of Duo’s personal guard came to a stop at the entry of the palace and when they opened the door to let the braided haired prince out nothing happened. Duo didn't step out, he didn't move from his spot from inside the carriage. He did peak out the window trying to see the King but other than that he stayed put.

"Sir, you need to come out and greet the King properly," his adviser that his father sent with him told the prince from his place outside the carriage door.

"No. If he wants to be greeted he can come here." Childish, yes, but Duo didn't care.
