The Dere Types Meme

Everyone knows the classic tsundere character archetype: prickly and standoffish on the surface, but sweet and loving to those few who have earned it. But did you know there are plenty of other ~dere types to try on for size? From lovey-dovey to downright dangerous, there's a dere out there for everyone.

How to Play

1. State in your top level what type of dere your character is, and/or what type they are compatible with.
   
2. Tag around and enjoy romantic hijinks!
   
3. Generate Prompts if you need 'em.

Tsundere
Tsundere are short-tempered and rude to their love interest at first, and may be embarrassed by compliments and affection. However, this prickly attitude is just a cover for the lovey-dovey feelings they are hiding inside!

Yandere
Initially sweet and loving, until their affection takes a dangerously obsessive turn. Yandere will do anything to keep a love interest at their side, including violence.

Kuudere
It's hard to break past the cool and aloof shell of this silent, keep-to-themselves type, but there is a depth of feeling lurking just beyond that blank mask - you know it!

Dandere
Painfully shy and quiet, easily set to blushing and too timid to talk to their love interest. However, their affections - if ever expressed - are sweet and loyal.

Bakadere
Himbos and bimbos deserve love, too! They might be complete idiots and too goofy for some, but they aren't afraid to express their feelings.

Himedere
"Hime" means "princess," and likewise, himedere are (or at least believe themselves to be) the regal and haughty sort. Although they give the impression that they're too good for you, they crush just as hard as anyone!

Deredere
100% pure tooth-rotting sweetness! Deredere don't hide who they are or how they feel about their love, though some may find their uninhibited affection a tad smothering.

Shinji shifts his grip on his bag of groceries, wondering if it’d be worth it to leave ‘em on the side of the road and make Hiyori get her own damn food. He’s tired, and enabling Hiyori’s cheese addiction is not what he wants to do right now. But Hachi’d kicked him out after he’d been so restless he’d disturbed everyone, and sent him on an errand run.

He huffs. The indignity!

At least it’s late enough that Shinji probably won’t see anyone he knows. It’s getting dark, and lights are starting to flicker on in windows and outside of buildings. Most sane people are inside by now, eating dinner or doing whatever it is normal people do when the sun goes down.

Man. If he weren’t such a nice guy, Shinji would’ve just called up Hiyori and left her stuff under a bench by now. But Shinji’s nothing if not a gentleman, so he keeps on trekking along, and almost runs smack-dab into some person wearing a pink monstrosity of a jacket.

He opens his mouth, turns to say something, and-
