The Feeling DOMINANT Meme No matter what your usual preferences are, today, you're feeling dominant. This doesn't mean Dominant with a capital D as in the BDSM sense - unless that's what you're into. It simply means you want to take charge. Maybe you even want to be aggressive and possessive, or you just want to show what you want and when you want it. There could very well be some emotional desires behind this fancy, as well. This could be a complete change in your normal personality, an extension of what you're naturally like, or a normal but possibly unexplored part of you. It could even mean a spike in sexual interest, libido, or confidence if you're usually not the one to initiate. So whether you're with an established partner, in an AU setting, or with a one-night stand, let your inner boss shine through and top or top from the bottom. You can control...and that just may be exactly what they want. Comment with your character, preferences, and any info you'd like to include. When the opportunity for Jesse to direct a new Broadway musical had come up, she'd been a fully supportive fianceé. Maybe it was the fact that he'd proposed to her almost immediately after suggesting it, but she'd gotten the impression that it had been a project they were going to be undertaking together. He'd be the director and she'd be his leading lady. Surely her fiancé would be unlike other directors and listen with intent curiosity and openness to her own ideas and direction.

Apparently, she'd forgotten how cutthroat Jesse St. James could be when dedicated to a project, and apparently he no longer felt the need to butter her up in hopes of appealing to her romantic nature. Since the project had really gotten underway, it felt like they were arguing on everything from where she should stand on the stage to what color tablecloth was appropriate. That was when she could actually get him to have pay attention to their impending nuptials.

As far as she saw it, he was being too opinionated and leaving her no room for "artistic expression". She'd accused him of such earlier that night before storming off stage and rather than wait for her, or chase after her like he was supposed, he had carried on! Of course, she'd come back when she'd realized he'd called on her understudy from the sidelines to run lines, but she hadn't been happy about it. Needless to say they were at odds with each other.

At least over the course of their several year relationship, he'd helped her break her tendency to catastrophize everything, so she wasn't jumping to the conclusion that this meant their relationship was heading for the rocks. Even during their rough patches they worked things through like mature adults, something she was insanely proud of as they racked up anniversaries.

Things just hadn't been easy recently. Between the play, house hunting, and planning a wedding, they weren't really living or spending time together. They hadn't even had sex in several weeks because they were either too tired or annoyed with each other to trust initiating it. She was tired of being bossed around, even if it was his job. The final straw had been the arrogant smile he'd given her when she'd returned to the stage, practically with her tail between her legs. She knew that smile, loved it even, but not when he was smug...or perhaps humored...with her.

Ready to listen?

He'd casually asked in a way that had ignited a fury inside of her. A rage so deep that when seeing it in her eyes, most ran away in fear. She was sure that she'd seen Jesse swallow under her look. As usual with that death glare, it shifted quickly into an all to false smile and a "yes," that was so saturated with sweetness that anyone who knew her knew she was only barely holding back. Yes, she was sure she saw him swallow. And in that moment a plan had begun to formulate in her mind. It was high time that Jesse was taken down a peg from the high of his directorial debut and brought back to the lesser world of the cast.

She hadn't spoken a word to him on the way home, preferring to silently plot his demise. Rather she hurries off to their bedroom immediately after they get home. Not long after she emerges from the bathroom in a rather seductive number, figuring that she'll find him in bed. Instead she hears him in the living room of their apartment talking to someone about some issue regarding the show and she huffs. The truth is, she's tired of the show consuming him, and it lays underneath a lot of her recent more bratty moments. She wants his attention and she wants it now. So she pulls on a robe over her outfit and walks up behind him, grabbing the phone and pressing the end button.

"You can text them and tell them you lost connection and will discuss whatever it is, in the morning." It's the first thing she's said to him in hours and her tone makes it clear that it is not a suggestion as she holds out the phone for his momentary use.
