Life with enhanced senses has taught Rachel that there really is no such thing as an unscented soap, but at least some soaps come close to achieving that goal. This happens to be the only grocery store in the city that carries her favorite one. The lines at the registers aren’t extremely long today, but the wait has been long enough. Of course, Rachel has never been an impatient woman. She stands in the queue holding only three plastic-wrapped bars of soap and stares off into space until the boredom gets to be too much.
Typically, Rachel is reserved. She allows her co-worker Nina to do all of the talking whenever they interact with other people in their line of work. The other woman is much smoother than she is, anyway. Still, Rachel bites her lip and turns to the man behind her. He has a look about him that makes him stand out from everyone else doing their routine shopping.
“Milk run?” Rachel nods to the jug of milk he holds with a small smile. Being able to tell when milk is spoiling even the slightest bit, she has to replace hers far more often than the average person. Sometimes having her senses is an utter pain in the ass.

[ Pearl is a woman on a mission, but few know it. not even her lord knows it.
this pale woman with dark hair and striking features intrigued her so much that Pearl made the decision to start tailing her even without an order from the hunter himself. this was against their rules, naturally, but she was so convinced that Vanessa was no ordinary woman that she was willing to risk everything.
the introduction went quite smoothly. she had bumped into Vanessa at some theater late at night and started talking about the play. after a lovely chat they swore to talk again and soon their first meeting was followed by another, a walk in the park.
Pearl appears from behind the trees where she had been waiting for her friend, smiles and slips her hand into hers. sadly it's impossible to tell if her skin feels cold or not since they're both wearing gloves to protect themselves from the gloomy weather. ]
Miss Ives! I hope you're wearing your good shoes, I'm going to insist we walk around the lake.
