[ Valhalla above but Steve sure tightens up when he climaxes. Loki almost loses it right there, but he holds onto his senses just long enough, not stopping but slowing down as Steve spills between them. He slows, waits for Steve to calm down a hint, and then picks up the pace rapidly with short and shallow thrusts, chasing after his own peak that's quickly approaching. ]

[There are a few moments where Loki's continued attentions are almost too much, but then everything settles again and Steve feels like he could spend the rest of his life just lying there, letting Loki fill him up. But they don't have time for that, and if he knows Loki it won't be much longer until he comes, too. What to do, what to do?]

[ Well, chatter's not really what Loki's in the mood for now. So Steve's rambling happens to be just a bit irritating, and in his current state it's just enough for his hand to find Steve's throat again and tighten around it like before. ]

Not a word, if not my name, husband. [ let him finish in peace here. ]

[Right, no dragging it out, got it. Steve squeezes around Loki and sighs his name, being the good little husband he seems to want right now. It's not like there's much else he can do at the moment.]

[ Good boy. Loki manages another minute or so with Steve's encouragement, and his hand tightens around his husband's throat when he does finally let go and release deep inside him with a distinctively animalistic growl. It leaves him trembling a bit, eventually shifting onto his side after he withdraws, his head nestled against Steve's shoulder as he catches his breath. ]

[The throat-squeezing is completely unnecessary, but Steve is sort of expecting it this time so he rides it out. His arms move--or try to--automatically when Loki settles, but those pesky ropes are still in the way.]

[ Yeah, Loki belatedly realizes Steve's reddened skin around his neck and feels a little bad for it. Just a little. The ropes binding Steve's wrists disappear then, and once Loki's caught his breath he pushes himself up to sit, brushing hair from his eyes. ]

[Steve is feeling altogether too lazy to bother with putting himself on Loki's level right now, so he just rolls over, buries his nose in Loki's hip, and drapes an arm over his legs.]

You want to tell me what that was about?

[ Loki hesitates with his answer, looking down at Steve as he scoots closer. His hand finds it's way to brush through messy blond blocks and Loki sighs quietly, shaking his head. ]

No. [ Steve doesn't need to know all the details. ] It is unnecessary.

[Steve's own sigh is louder, inhibited as it is by Loki's skin.] You have to tell me if something's wrong or I can't help you fix it.

[ Hmph. Loki manages to keep most of his retorts behind his teeth, but it's still frustrating. ] I said it is unnecessary. If it is so easily fixed, it would have been so.

Letting it fester isn't going to help, either. [This conversation would probably be better held upright, but Steve is still too physically comfortable to move and hoping Loki will appreciate even a vague appearance of submissiveness.] If you can't tell me, at least find a way to get it out of your system that doesn't hurt anybody.

[ Loki kind of prefers Steve being snuggled up around his hip rather than looking at him at eye level. It's easier for him to cup Steve's jaw with his hand, and press his fingers to his lips. ] Hush. This doesn't need to be discussed now. Another time.

[Then Loki can also enjoy huffing at him, determined not to let the issue go but willing to put it on the back burner.] I'm holding you to that, mister. [If he doesn't sound angry, that would be because he's not. All things in time.]

[ Right now, Loki's just glad that the topic's been dropped, even if it's just temporary. He'll continue to avoid it to the best of his ability. And he'll contemplate all the ways how as he strokes Steve's hair, until whenever sleep claims him. ]

[Loki's just lucky he married a guy who knows how to pick his battles, because opportunities for deep, meaningful conversations are somewhat more numerous than opportunities for a power nap before Adina wakes up. The subject will definitely resurface, but for now Steve gives in to his fatigue and drifts off.]
