Wei Wuxian picked up rather early on that these expressions were for him, and him alone. (Well, relatively early, at least.) For as quiet as it is, the heart and fondness that fills it so wholly is something Wei Wuxian never imagined he would ever experience for himself. He didn't know it was honestly a thing to begin with.

Soon enough, somewhere along the line, Wei Wuxian hopelessly and helplessly found himself in love with being loved, and to be able to return those sentiments with the same amount of confidence and intensity. Maybe even more. It's enough to make him giddy.

Even so, it has him pausing for only a moment. The chill from Lan Wangji's drifting touch all at the same time leaves fire in its wake. It's a feeling he chases after by further parting his lips with a low, pleased sound from the back of his throat. Always being one who wants more and more, Wei Wuxian continues to take advantage by pressing into the kiss, nudging one of his knees between Lan Wangji's legs.
