[He can't help the worried frown that tugs at his mouth, and he steps into the room as well, sinking down on the other side of the bed so he can press a cool hand against Fai's forehead-

-and almost exclaims at how hot he is. He holds it back, barely, and instead smoothes back Fai's hair tenderly.]

It's alright, you know. You can't help being sick, so don't worry about us, okay?

[It's a strange feeling, being... pampered like this. He doesn't know how to accept kindness from others, even his brother's now. He's always felt like a burden, deep down, and situations like this never helped lessen that feeling.

Despite Yuui's comforting words he can't help but look at him with guilt. Maybe if he was more careful, if he wasn't so weak physically, he wouldn't have fallen sick at all and waste Yuui's time--

He looks away, gaze falling to a wrinkle in the bed sheet.] I'm sorry, brother.

Tch. [ Kurogane considers leaving the room now that Yuui is back but somehow that would feel life fleeing which was something Kurogane would never, ever do. Besides, the kid still looked way to pitiful for him to leave him with only the idiot for company. Even if he sometimes managed to say things that was actually useful. ] 

You're probably never going to hear me say this again, so make sure to pay attention kid. Listen to your brother. You don't have anything to be sorry for, so stop apologizing. [ Have a very stern glare to accompany the speech, Fai. ]

Aww, Kuro-min is actually agreeing with me! How sweet~.

[That gains Kurogane a smile and a pat on the head like a good dog, and then he turns back to Fai, running two fingers along his cheek before he bends down and presses a kiss to his brother's forehead.]

And you don't have to apologize. I don't mind taking care of you, not at all. I just want you to be better so you don't have to be stuck in bed and feeling bad.

[He doesn't know what to say to Kurogane, so he says nothing. Only a nod and a stinging feeling in his chest.

Fai has to cover his mouth with a hand to stifle the weak laugh when his brother pats Kurogane's head like that. These two...

He lets his hand fall away when Yuui touches his cheek, kisses his forehead, wanting nothing more than to be close to his brother like this. If he wasn't sick he'd ask if he would lie down with him until he fell asleep, but...]

I don't want to be a reason for you to worry. [Exhales.] But I'll get better soon! I promise.

[shut_up_idiot]

[ Kurogane snarls and twists out of Yuui's reach, his eye murderous. ] I'm not some damned dog! [ he still hasn't fully forgiven Yuui for the names he'd given them back in Outo.

He takes a deep breath, looking from one idiot twin to the other. Was this what he was going to have to deal with from now on? ]

Tche. You're as bad as each other. Makes me tired just listening at you. [ Grumble, grumble. ]

[He puts a gentle hand on Fai's shoulder just in case Kurogane's glaring and growling seems intimidating. He knows his brother is strong, but he remembers how he used to be as a child. His voice, however, comes out in a teasing sing-song at first.]

Don't worry about Kuro-pon, he's all bark and no bite most of the time~.

[Well, until you did something to really piss him off, but just the very idea of Kurogane offering a child violence was absolutely ridiculous, and while he'd threaten and bluster, he had never actually done very much against himself so far.

He smiles softly at his brother, squeezing his shoulder.] I don't mind worrying much, because worrying means you're here to worry about, okay? And there is nothing in the world that means more than that.

[Most of the time. Fai knows he can trust Kurogane because Yuui trusts him and that's all he needs, really.

That didn't make him any less intimidating or nerve wracking when he barked at Yuui like that. Or when he looked at him with glaring eyes.

He isn't a bad person... He just has to keep reminding himself that. Fai wasn't accustomed to affection, especially the abrasive kind.

It takes two deep breaths before he can successfully push away the lingering anxiety that sneaks around the back of his mind. His hands twist themselves in the sheets, but he manages a small smile.]

Thank you, brother... [He looks over at Kurogane, gaze a little more shy.] Thank you, Kurogane.
