( it was a slightly awkward mission briefing when they'd already slept together, though it wasn't as if chris's commander knew that. really, he hadn't even wanted her there but he hadn't been able to deny zelda's knowledge, something no one else had.

so they'd gone, settling first in the hotel, going over the last pieces of information. someone was selling a virus, information they'd managed to intercept early for once. she was posing as a potential interested party, chris as her partner. since it was only names that the seller knew they'd taken them and gone. and hoped.

well, not just hoped. in their hotel room she was finishing a spell to help locate said virus, her magic still something only chris knew about )
