Truth or dare? is a mostly verbal party game requiring two or more players. Players are given the choice between answering a question truthfully, or performing a "dare", both of which are set by the other players. Players must perform the dare they are given, or answer the question asked, quitting the game to avoid a dare or question is not allowed, or switching the choice with the other.


How to play -

1. Top-level with your character.
2. Others make them choose between truth or dare.
3. Play till you tire.

Art would suggest some deeper meaning or thought behind it. Unless you mean the kind they do on street corners.

Art is art. It doesn't really matter where it springs from.

That is… surprisingly deep of you.

[ loki gives a nonchalant shrug. ]

It involves baring the soul after all. And that's not the easiest thing to do.

I never considered annoyance the art one bares their soul through. But it fits you.

[ There is a modicum of respect in the way she says it. ]

[ he inclines his head towards her. ]

I'll take that as a compliment.

[ there’s a quiet moment as she debates denying it; but instead she rests her chin in her hand and looks off to his right before speaking mildly ]

[ She doesn’t really reply to that, just rotates her hand so that her chin rests on the back now as she gives him a look that says she doesn’t quite believe him. But it’s more playful than truly disagreeable. ]

[ he gestures, hand in front of her. ]

I believe so. Truth or dare, Sylvie?

[ Best not give him too much freedom after just teasing him. ]

Truth then.

[ loki hums. ]

How did you learn your magic?

[apocalypsegrown]

[ Ah. A serious question. Sylvie sucks in a breath through her nose, tucking her chin as she sits back. ]

Trial and error. [ A pause. ] Have you ever looked at someone who just refuses to comply and wonder what makes them so infuriatingly incompetent? Well that’s the first step.

[ he smiles, a little impressed. ]

So that's how it works? You're mentally shaking their brain on the inside?

It started like that. But that only works with those with weaker wills. The mind is a bit like quicksand. With some if you enter too fast and hard, they resist you. As time went on I learned to relax and let the mind lead me to what I want.

[ She sounds a bit distant while explaining, as if reliving the process. ]

[ loki shakes his head a little, fondly. ]

Do you realize how difficult it is to master mind magic? It is one of the trickiest forms of magic. The most elusive. I know it took great . . . sacrifice.

But you should be proud of your abilities.

[ She scoffs at that, but the way she shifts in her seat it’s pretty obvious that his words aren’t taken lightly. ]

[ he shrugs. ]

[ If just for a bit longer, then might as well ask a more serious question. ]

What is… your favorite memory of Asgard.

[ ooc: and small pause for me while I watch ep 5 👀. No spoilers promise. ]

[ loki has to mull about that. it hasn't been that long since asgard, but the memory is still lanced with pain. the anger is more muted now, at least. it no longer burns and aches, but there's a trace of sorrow he can't fully banish. ]

Thor and I would play valkyries when we were younger. He was very fond of them, so we snuck into our mother's chambers and stole her fabrics so we could play the part. We even fashioned some terrible wooden helms and swords to add to the game. And we'd run all over the palace, knocking over chambermaids and raise a ruckus.

[ She can empathize with that sorrow, though for different reasons. The sting of Asgard is a dream within a dream for her, a distant heart that powers her quest for revenge. She laughs softly at his choice, tucking her knees up into her chest. ]

Funny you say that. I had a whole set of carved dolls and a perfect little ship with hand woven sails… that’s where they got me actually. The TVA. A little girl just playing with her dolls dreaming of being a Valkyrie.

[ she turns her face towards him, chin resting on her arm. ]

Can you imagine us, with a horse.
