[ Luke had ran out of Leia's apartment, gotten into his X-wing, and blasted off to answer the desperate call of a small child -- ran out so fast that he barely remembered to lift R2 up into the droid socket, let alone make sure he has essential things. Things like food and making sure he had enough gas to make the trip back. ]

[ Probably not the best first impression for his new student. Thankfully there was a small refuel outpost on the way back to Chandrila, and he left R2 to take care of the ship while Luke made sure he got Grogu something to eat. ]

[ Unfortunately, that's where he ran into a bit of a road block. Grogu didn't seem to want to eat anything that was on the menu, and... well, he hadn't known what was in the stew Master Yoda used to make, and he honestly never wanted to find out. ]

Well, what is it you like to eat?

[ Grogu turned his large eyes up at him, his ears wiggling back and forth as he sent an image to his mind. ]

...I don't think they have whole frogs here.

[ He paused as another image came to mind, one of cookies and sweets of all kinds, before making a face. ]

[ Grogu didn't seem to like that, as an invisible force suddenly grabbed his hair and tugged hard. Luke let out a yelp, one hand flying to his hair, before he focused an annoyed look at the little child. He just let out an innocent noise, his ears wiggling like he was the more innocent person in the galaxy. ]

[ Luke ended up letting out a sigh, looking around the restaurant, a desperate look on his face. Maybe if he was lucky, there would be some kind of motherly figure around to help him out...? ]

[ From across the booth, Henry sits, drinking roughly half his weight in caffeine at the only diner open at this ungodly hour. The several coffee cups that litter the table are a testament to the hypocrisy of man. It's much akin maintaining a vigil; superseding comfort, acting with the stoic familiarity inherent to visiting a grave at an untimely date for an untimely purpose. It's all nasty gunk, regardless; the coffee filter's surely broken, but he makes no mind of the grounds.

No jittering plagues him as of yet. No tremor to his hands. But his soles are a deep, vicious red with blood, leaving telling footprints that begin at the door and end where he's seated.

He continues sipping, no heed paid to the food that the only other patron, a pretty blonde lass neck-deep in her own form of carnage, is devouring until she's polished off the first to slaver over the second. ]

Quite a hefty appetite you've got.

He doesn't think much beyond the coffee going to waste if he tosses it, so he approaches the most miserable-looking sod in the establishment (besides himself, anyway).

Hawks’ eating habits leave a lot to be desired. Fast food (for a fast bird - heh, he thinks he’s hilarious) and lots of late-night meals don’t make for a healthy diet. But he’s been patrolling late, his shift just ended, and there really aren’t a lot of options for food at three in the morning.

He hadn’t expected to recognize anyone, though. This is a surprise.

[ It's been a while since Five could actually go out without having one of his siblings following after him.

He honestly can't remember how long it has been since he and Badou had one of their adventures in Denny's. The coffee sucks, but man Five's savoring it anyway because he's been jonesing since his caffeine supply was cut off during his recovery. ]

It's sad that this shitty cup of coffee is the best coffee I've had in months.
