Epistolary

It's all text messages and Facebook entries these days, isn't it? Maybe you're from a time or a world where letters are still being written or maybe you're just saying fuck it to your computer and your phone and to the fast paced contact methods of modern day society. Write a letter to someone you rarely see or can't for whatever reason see right now, because of distance or maybe personal issues that are more easily addressed on paper anyway. Come on, you don't need an excuse, just write that damn letter!

How to play -

1. Top-level with your character. Include prefs and the like, if you wish.
2. Others now leave a comment with a letter their character has written yours.
3. Have your character respond, then go tag around as you wish.
4. Be entertained!

Dear Ms. Nanno,

I prefer to think of it as making things difficult for someone who's done nothing but the same for me. Revenge isn't something one should make a part of their lives. In my experience it's a disease, it poisons your soul.

However, "less than savory" is fine when it comes to Townsend. He deserves every bitter thing that comes his way. The specifics should be discussed in person.

Well then! It seems we have a mutual brand of justice and alignment. It's good to make your acquaintance, just 'Nanno' will be fine.

That is no problem at all, good sir. You have nothing to worry about as far as these communications go, my (and your) letters will disappear as if into thin air! Worry not. It is in my business to make that happen.

I spoke with your assistant over the phone, but he said direct communications will fair best. In the meantime, I'm doing my research on the quaint family history of Mr. Townsend. That seems to be the only thing driving him.

Just name the time and place and I will travel to you.

[Sure enough, Dembe is in contact by phone, Red, as it just so happens, will be in Thailand in a few days and seconds later the address of a luxury hotel is sent over. Red will be in the bar.]

[Nanno is currently between cases now, as it happens. She promised Dembe, without prompting, that she wouldn't forget the pretzels, and found a spot on one of the high stools at the bar with the large bag. When she sees the two of them, she hops off her spot. She's still wearing her university uniform like she's on school time, but Nanno is very obviously nursing a drink at the bar, too.]

Sawadee ka, I'm Nanno. It's nice to meet you two. Here, pretzels.

[This scene would probably look comical to knowing the circumstances, Nanno offering the large bag towards them as a sort of welcoming gift.]
