How to play -

[Dealing with cutting edge neo-state of the art holographic technology, along with the most advanced neural networking system the world has ever seen, leads some very interesting places. Sentient, Turing-passing AI are right around the corner, he knows, but he's not sure they're quite there yet. The AI-tem system (as he refers to it in a way one might be pressed to call affectionate) is so close. The perfectly crafted personality and strategies, rebuilt from memory. And yet he's not there yet. He's not right.

Which Kaiba supposes is what he gets for dealing with a storebought pharaoh rather than the real thing.

But the project is delicate, and of utmost importance. The data and coding isn't to be tampered with except by his command alone. Which means that attempts to get everything Just Right falls to other side projects.

He's not sure who made the Monika system. There are several 'characters', attempts at person-like AI, all simultaneously developed by the varying scientists at his disposal; he doesn't care about any one of them enough to remember who made which. But this one has shown the most promise, the most fluidity in her shifting code. This is not the first time he's booted up the neural link system to find himself in an indistinct school (he's reminded of Domino High, but it could be anywhere) to interact with the schoolgirl (and he wonders if her creator had a fetish or simply likes vtubers too much) to see where they stand on the AI's development. Have any glitches occurred, instability in the streams of data?

It's actually somewhat eerie to be standing in the hallway - empty, devoid of other students save for Monika for now. He hasn't set foot in a proper school in a long time, just enough to get the government off his back, but even here, where he could appear however he pleases...he's still in his billowing coat.

Nothing seems to be going awry with the system so far. So. He'll ask one of the vague, pertinent questions for a computer meant to imitate life.]
