With the cursed nails embedded in his skull, the mute puppet woke up and for years, he is obedient to his Master, serving him. He never expresses pain, joy, or happiness, however whatever emotion he expressed, the nails made him dull and monotone. As his doll he is diligent and obedient. With his eyes glassed over, eyes that once belonged to Xingchen, his consciousness is partially suppressed, but he's obedient to whatever order he asks of him and he serves him without much resistance.

The coffin house is quiet and heavy, the mood is oppressive with their beloved Daozhang gone. What's left of hope is the broken up soul pieces saved in a pouch, a soul broken up like puzzle pieces waiting to be put back into a picture.

He cooks and cleans their shared house, and prepares his bath at the end of the day. It's the only activities he could do to make each day normal and bearable. In a way, what choice do they have with their Beloved gone? In the end, they have each other.

Evening comes, tonight is quiet. Song Lan already prepares a meal for the both of them, with their hot meal ready on the table. It wasn't much, but a thin broth of soup with vegetables and little meat, grainy rice serve in a bowl, and cheap wine. But he made it and cooked it.

"…" He approaches him silently. Without saying a word, for there is no words that can be said. He mouths silently, a dark abyss inside, but the wounds long healed with a scar, to ensure he will never be able to speak again. In other words, "Your meal is ready, Master."
